The Frolic & Folk Pub & Grill
It’s worth visiting here just to sit and look at the best view in the area. It’s bright and fun and there is acoustic or traditional music several nights of the week- check their website or Facebook listings. I usually go for the Sunday afternoon traditional session and have dinner. The turkey or fish specials are good and they have some nice local beverages on tap. Nice folks too.

We went while in the area for dinner during the ceilidh matinee and absolutely loved it. I got the chicken parmesan pasta, my daughter's got the fish and chips and chicken fingers and fries. We also got the cookies and cream cheesecake. Everything was really good. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the chicken parmesan was. I really enjoyed it. I loved the decor of the location, I loved the location, the service and servers were great. We sat and ate upstairs which allows for a nice view of the bar down below. Pleasant experience, would definitely go back. The performance was great and worth the cost to pay to watch.

The BEST pub in all of Cape Breton! Amazing food, cold beer, friendly service and incredible live acts... it's a MUST stop if you are anywhere near Iona!

I love this Pub! I'm new to the area and it has become my goto spot. The Food is always well prepared, The music is authentic and atmosphere is very welcoming. I haven't had bad service yet. If your traveling the 105 it's well worth the 20min drive off the beaten path.

The Frolic & Folk Pub & Grill
Drove 45 min from our rental cottage and it was worth it. Food was great and we lucked out getting to hear the live Nova Scotian music. The pub was nearly full, but our server was still able to get us our food within a reasonable time. On top of that, after reading some of the negative reviews here it is clear the owners have taken feedback and implemented changes to make the experience better. If ever we make the trip out from Ontario again we'll definitely stop for a bite!
