Excellent fish & chips.It surprised me that they didn't have any beer from Wellington County Brewery that's just down the road. A beer from there or another Craft Brewery would have made the meal much better.

Golden Fish & Chips Woolwich
Yesterday, my wife and I took a friend to this restaurant --one of our favourites near our residence. And all three of us immediately agreed that no other place offers such quality fish and chips in our city. This is easily the best fish and chips place for miles around. The food and service have always been consistently excellent. And we always leave with a smile, and feeling greatly satisfied.Hector and Margaret Osorio-Lavender.

I just got 2 pieces of Haddock and chips from this restaurant for $33. When I got home the fish was swimming in grease. There was a pool of it at the bottom of the box. When I went to it eat the fish was rubbery with an odd colour and after 5 minutes the chips became hard. This restaurant used to have great food so I’m not sure what has happened. I have given this restaurant many chances but I’m officially done.

This place was surprisingly good, reasonable priced, fast, and with a very friendly server. Next time I'm in Guelp I can see myself stopping by again. Fish and chips are good, the ceaser salad is ok. Friendly service!

Was not happy with our meal…salad had next to no dressing on it and tiny for $7.99 definitely not worth it…I had too put the fries in the air fryer too heat them up.Tartar sauce is some packaged garbage.First fish and chip place I’ve eaten at where they don’t have coleslaw with your meal.Going with a 3 out of 10 here… fish taste good that was it….

The fish was under-done. You could still taste the 'flour' like flavour of the batter. It gave DH and I severe upset stomach.The fries were also lukewarm.On the plus side, our server was nice and the establishment was clean.

2 orders of halibut and chips with 1lg gravy. 57.16Oily fish batter and previously frozen fries with tasteless gravey. My cell phone is thicker than the fish. Small portions and what fish and chip shop doesn't include the coleslaw; especially for the ridiculous price they charge.

The fish (halibut) was delicious. A generous 1 piece and fries...for fifty cents you can have half fries, half coleslaw. I thought the price of 22.99 a little high and two pieces was 39.99!People are paying it though. It was busy for dine in and takeout.The restaurant needs a little update...Service was friendly, and the food came quickly
