These are highly skilled craftspeople who will not disappoint! I want to laud and magnify them because they are maintaining guild-worthy technical skills and managing to make it work in 2016! That is rare and noteworthy.We brought to them a quality French Provincial chesterfield/chair set that I got for a steal 20 years ago in college. It had seen some serious abuse. I got back a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful furniture set. They preserved all of the good memories that I associate with this furniture set and restored the comfort and looks. They are likely in better condition than when new.I liked their work so much that I have gone back to them and finished my office from their own stock.I did feel that HFC could have a stronger showing in the design department. They have swaths of swatches and it took a great deal of time to sort through them and find some complementary materials. That being said, I expect they may have encountered the opposite demand from people who actually wish to spend hours poring over swatch books. The important thing is that they are absolute masters of their craft, and their work will stand up for years to come.

We are thrilled with our stunning newly upholstered chair from Halifax Furniture Clinic. We had a vision to upholster an antique chair in emerald green and Bill helped us find this beautiful antique chair and fabric. The HFC team quickly turned an old weathered, but solid piece, into a sturdy and stunning chair. This shop is local gem with experienced talented craftsmen.

Was informed no repairs to lived in" upholstered couches. No on site apprentices available. Just ended up buying the tools and parts I needed to repair it myself. My couch cost $1700 CAD. Not a "lived in" couch."

My family and I want to thank the Halifax Furniture Clinic in Halifax for their heartwarming care and magical restoration of my Dad, Leonard Webb's arm chair, circa the 1950's. It was in horrible shape. The Furniture Clinic managed to bring the chair back to life" and it is now in a place of honour in my nephew's house. It is a focal point representing family history in action. Thank you so much for the care shown with our treasure. Amazing work. Outstanding job of upholstering a wingback chair. We have had Halifax Furniture Clinic reupholster several pieces of heirloom furniture over the years, and just had this wingback chair done. Matching stripes is difficult, so I give them full marks on excellence. And, in December, they said it likely would be February when they got to it, but they finished on January 5. They picked it up and delivered it and the chair was only out of the house for 48 hours!

I had my couch and two wing chairs done in fall 2022. They are really old and solid, so did not want to discard them, but they really needed to be done. Used my own fabric for the couch (bought it a few years ago hoping to use it some day) and bought fabric for the chairs. They turned out beautiful. Pattern matching on the couch was fantastic. I even got a call to come down to see the 'insides' of my couch (I live nearby). Fast turnaround as well. Highly recommend.

Their team did an incredible job re-upholstering my couch. I asked for a few changes to me made in its structure, like changing out the springs for a cushion instead and they did such a good job, it is very comfortable now. They were also insanely quick, came to my apartment 20 minutes after I called them. They were also very good about moving the couch which it was not easy as I live in a third floor apartment with no elavator and some very tricky stairs, they did not complain once. These guys are excellent craftsmen, very professional and so friendly. Highly recommend.

Bill and the team are amazing. We have been lucky enough to have them revive our furniture on three separate occasions, and every project has been a gift. Their latest work is below ... I can't recommend them enough!

Bill and his team are amazing. They put a lot of pride and craftsmanship in what they do. I added a before and after picture. This furniture has been in my family for 3 generations. They flower pattern is the after. They were even able to also restore the legs so it what it looked when bought 60 years ago.

I was looking for a well-made rocking chair that would work in both a nursery and then later as a piece in my home. The team at Halifax Furniture Clinic was able to transform a worn-out vintage platform rocker into a gorgeous statement piece. HFC helped me pick a beautiful citrine fabric that would wear well, rebuilt the cushion, and made sure to have the chair completed before my due date in the Spring. Excellent, friendly service and absolutely beautiful results.
