My first night here at half moon wasn’t bad at all! However there are some improvements that could be made to make it perfect.1. Pool is closed for half of the summer and were given attitude about asking about it. I understand that some things need to be renovated and worked on but it’s puzzling why they are doing it when most people could use it the most.2. The lot we booked was in a different spot than the map we looked at and it didn’t have any privacy whatsoever. Not sure if that’s an error or maybe an older map they forgot to update?3. At 7 am during quiet hours we saw a security worker peek into someone else’s tent! It’s ok and understandable how they need to check things time to time but not ok to look into someone else’s tent. I was making sure that other people were aware of this, and they were not happy.4. Lots of construction across from us but not a major issue, just something that sort of bothered us while we were hanging out. Totally ok with me though, it’s just a privacy thing that could be respected if there are open lots across from an excavator hauling dirt. The front desk lady was very friendly and fixed every problem there was so I appreciate her assistance! We want to go back again but hope to get a better lot and a better experience.Thank you!

Very open campground with a lovely pool, nice showers, well maintained grounds, and quiet hours were respected. Close to the city too!

It's a little more expensive ($17/night) than our normal place. That being said it's pull through for my RV, power water and sewer with still nice trees and everyone here as neighbours seems friendly and respectful. The wood is actually good, stored indoors and burns decently compared to other places. This actually may be my new favourite despite the price. Staff are also friendly. Can't comment on washrooms or renting cause I RV camp but for me it's still a win.

This is a lovely place to stay. The staff is 10 star friendly and helpful. Super clean bathrooms with free hot showers. So many fun things to do pickle ball basketball beach volleyball horseshoes mini golf nice beach and a cute little play park. The tenting sites are really nicely laid out . I will not comment on the water as the resort owners and staff do not have any control on leaches and algea if they did I am certain they would do something about as you can tell they really care about the guest experience. Keep up the great work Half Moon Lake Resort. We will be back.

Stayed here for 10 days with a big group including 4 kids 6 and under. We rented 3 sites including the 30 foot trailer they have available for rent. So much to do for kids here. Even on the cloudy rainy days, there was quite a few options for long walks. Definitely a family friendly campground, couldn't recommend it enough to those with children. The staff were really nice and helpful.

Went for 3 nights, normally we stay in the parks so were a little skeptical on a private campground/resort but when we arrived and were all set up we discovered how much there is to do here. Lake, jumping pillow, mini golf, basketball courts, volleyball, pickle ball and more. The people are absolutely fantastic and helpful with anything and everything you need. The resort manager was always smiling, joking and great to speak with, even gave us a tour of the grounds. The grounds are well maintained, the beach is cleaned daily and you can see the pride in the rresort. Even the other campers were friendly and told us stories of their years there. Definitely surpassed our expectations and will be going back again. Definitely recommend for families

This entire place is just a JOKE, security and staff are awful! Everything is dirty, they sites are so close together and they like to kick people out who don’t go to bed at 11pm. NOBIdy camp here . Stay away. Waste of time and money.

My friend and I spent the day at the day access beach with our 4 year olds and had a great time paddle boarding and playing in the sand, water and at the park. The portable toilets were clean and there was a shower to rinse off after our water adventures.Like most if not all lakes in Alberta there are leeches so just be aware of that especially with your kiddos. We didn’t get any on us but I did have three on the bottom of my board. Use a thin object like a credit card, Swiss army blade or even finger nail to remove them or if they’re on you let them fall off naturally. This beach will definitely be on regular rotation for us this summer!

TOXIC ENVIRONMENT. We camped at Half Moon this weekend and we have done a lot of camping and it was the worse environment I have ever witnessed. Staff ( especially Brad on his big bad golf cart) will happily belittle their guest and bully them into leaving. SECURITY is also a joke, they will come around and wave at people and hang out with people who are drinking and then get his big bad boss to ask them to leave in the morning. Kicked out for nothing and no previous warnings... Brad wont even get off his golf cart and then will continue to name call and bully his guest im the most important employee here and what i say goes
