Believe all the 1 star reviews. I had similar experiences of all of them. So much stress, financial burden, frustration, loss of hope from dealing with this company.. Not the place to go if you need help. If they promise you funding, be fulfilled to fill out a multiple page 12+ application and spend countless hours and days filling it out and trying to interview 3 people in that trade. In the end ( a week into my course) they offered to fund my program, but the same day told me they would no longer fund my training because I had to pay for it upfront with my own money which i borrowed from student loans so i could have groceries and pay rent while going to school. I would lose a 1500$ commitmment fee of my own money that i paid to register and secure my seat in the course if it wasnt paid by the deadline date..this was all due to they didn't approve my funding date by the time the deadline came which forced me to do that. She knew this but still decided to tell me to handle it this way for the funding. Then noone answer my emails for well over a month, because she went on vacation and probably didnt forward my emails. Now I'm in debt , and when I explained this problem to them , they basically say it's my fault, because i couldnt find the references in time. I originally asked the worker when i still had over a month intime before the desdline if 1 reference for the interview was okìay and at first they said no and to keep trying. This went on until the deadline date so i asked again and she says its fine this time which eventually led to my loss of funding. She should've told me to just hand it iììn when everything else was complete with the1 reference for the interview like I thought would be fine and was eventually approved but later declined. What a kick in the balls. But I trusted the system and they failed me. thanks WorkBC! They claim and pretend well but the reviews speak for themselves. Don't believe the lies.Geoffrey

I phoned this location earlier in the week to confirm my boyfriend would be receiving his payment on time for attending an apprenticeship program. It was confirmed with me via phone that his payment would be at the end of the week. The end of the week came and went and he has not received a payment at all. This was money he was counting on for groceries. I don’t have any money to help support him. Our experience so far in dealing with Work BC has been one of stress and worry. His worker has not given him a payment schedule and we have been given the run around about when to expect support payments. It’s all very confusing and stressful.

WorkBC at this location ,110 East 3rd, I exprinces trible services with this organization. I hope government closed them because I noticed they not really helping anyone and they manipulate the work place. Looks like people working there doing Thier own private work than doing Thier job . I am writing this review because few times observed thier attitude when some needs help from this center. Why government should spent tax payer money for this types of organization!!

I was hoping for someone to help look over my resume, I called in advance to make sure I didn't need an appointment the woman on the phone told me to just come by. When I arrived she told me print your resume and go sit by that guy over there who is helping someone else and try and get his attention". Waited around for about an hour for the gentleman to help me. He was really nice but they were clearly understaffed and he seemed very overworked... I felt bad for him. Unfortunately he was only able to spend 5 minutes with me because apparently he had an appointment

Highly unprofessional, as others have mentioned.Edit/response: It's mentioned that I did not leave a name, and therefore nothing can be done. Keep lying to yourselves! I have spoken to several people at this location regarding my experience and nothing has been done. They knew my name, and exactly what my experience was. This location should be investigated by the Provincial Government and reorganized.

The most frustrating experience I've been through in a long time. After going through all the work to get all the appropriate paperwork for a tool purchase. They dragged their feet for over a month then told me I would qualify because to much time has passed. What a sham, nothing but incipient baffons working there.

Very grateful for all the help and resources Lindsay provided me when I was deep in my job search. She was so patient, kind, understanding, and generous with her time. Gave me a lot of interview tips, reviewed my resume, and gave career advice. She also put me in touch with people for informational interviews. She even checked in with me afterwards when I was 3 months into my new job. I can't say enough good things about her. I also had really positive interactions with Maria who also reviewed my resume. Thank you so much Lindsay, Maria, and Work BC!
