I can't even begin to describe how amazing Coal Creek Roasters is. Their chocolate is amazing, but what is so special about this beautiful and simple walk-up spot is the friendliness and hospitality.I rolled into Tahsis on July 7, on the 4th day of my trip cycling the Tree to Sea loop. I had experienced 4 days of rain, mud, bike problems, tent issues (not holding water), clothing issues, just to name a few. I was mentally exhausted and I was ready to throw in the towel and go home.Then the sun started to poke through the clouds as I rolled into the cute walk up window of Coal Creek Roasters. I ordered an expresso, and had some chocolate. Jan and her husband where so friendly, kind, passionate, and full of energy. In the line I also met my water taxi driver Konrad who was super nice. The 4 of us had such a short, but great conversation. Jan even went out of her way to package some chocolate that she just had finished making.I wish I could express how important and special that interaction with Jan and her husband was for me. It gave me the energy to keep going and finish the trip for the next 7 days.Thank you for your great chocolate, coffee, hospitably, energy, and inspiration. I am grateful for experiences and conversations like these.A must visit!

My friend and I had a great experience here. Delicious chocolate, coffee, and cinnamon buns! So fresh! Thank you very much for opening up in Tahsis. This delightful visit of ours has solidified Coal Creek Roasters as a must stop every time we are in Tahsis! Keep it up!
