Been coming here for years, buying all my rc cars and accessories off of them. Very friendly staff and good products from trusted manufacturers.2 of the rc cars I've bought off em! Now I've bought a 3rd! Love this place!!

They used to have a great selection of model trains, but in recent years it's been reduced to a fraction of what it used to be. Looks as if I have to travel to the GTA to find what I need

The guys at Ideal Hobbies are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and willing to share advice about anything RC related. Marcus helped me with my truck and I highly recommend you go see him.

Very uncomfortable experience. Went in twice. First time was watched like I was doing something wrong. Decided to try again a month later and same thing. Asked the difference between two machines were no help. Left. Wont bother going back

Hit and miss on customer service. When I first went in and spent 1400 there, the proper were nice and friendly. When I had a problem with one of the rc cars the fellow acted like I did something wrong. Turned out to be the esc but until that time I got lectured on how to turn on the machine, etc.They also sell 3d printed parts of other people's designs without permission. I mentioned that and the fellow said well they don't know".I'll go back when I need something and hope I get the nice fellows. Otherwise it's into mississauga or online."

Great variety it RC items, good service with expert advice. Have been shopping for many years never had an issue the team couldn’t resolve. Thank you for your helpful help every time.

Was in tonight (Jan 16th) with my son. When I walked in we were the only customers. Said hello to the 2 behind the counter with no response whatsoever. My son and I spent about 15min looking for traxxas parts (still the only customers in the store) while the 2 kept their backs turned to us the entire time. Check out the security footage about 5:30 give or take. It felt as though we weren't wanted there. I have dealt with the one older guy a number of times over the past few years and it's like pulling teeth and very uncomfortable dealing with him. Tonight things were the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced. We needed to order some other parts but didnt want to feel like i was troubling the 2. I have spent thousands over the years but im not sure i will be coming in anymore. Hobby parts are very easy to order online. Unfortunate for my son who loves going in and seeing all the cool stuff. Reading through the reviews... apparently I'm not the only one.BTW...the other guys in the store are great and always helpful but not worth it.

We bought my son a brand new RC truck off of Ideal Hobbies. Within the first use the motor stopped working. We called and they told us to come down on the weekend to get it fixed. We live almost 2 hours and drove up the following weekend only to receive to worst costumer service. The person serving seemed to want to blame us for it not working saying we didn't charge the battery. We explained we had charged the battery properly and when he plugged in their own battery it was obvious it was a problem with the motor. They did not want to help us in anyway and told us they don't repair on weekends. We would have understand this if they had explained that on the phone. The person serving us was very unpleasant to deal with we will be bringing our buisness elsewhere.
