I thought they where great untill they didn't have my back . my dauters mother recently passed away so i took 5 days bereavement to grieve and they are refusing to pay me just because she was not on my benifit plan. im still grieving and am now a single full time dad . im very disgusted with oebec policy on this matter as well as ver disappointed in my union

Dont waste your time and money with these professional clowns. If you think in the year 2023 you need a union you need to go back to school. These clowns will promise the world and deliver absolutely nothing. I work for a trucking, that just got thek out and life couldn't be better if you want to give away your money send it my way

Company owners beware!If your company is approached by these scammers run or call the police for stocking. They hide and video non members and try to get a mole within your company to turn your staff to force you to join. We haver been a member for 3 years now and want out. The Operator & Engineer 's has not provide one single operator that was qualified. The damage to my equipment alone it speaks for itself. The Operators" 793 send you are not qualified to run a child's toy in the sandbox. I am sure there are good operators within this union however they are send to the larger companies first. Think twice about signing any contract.They will promise you the world and new deliver.Vote NO UNION"

If anyone is thinking about a career as a mobile or tower crane operator including all heavy equipment this should be your first and last stop. Here you will get the best training in Ontario and of course through the other locals across North America.

Honestly save your time and money I mistakenly urged my gf to apply for mobile crane so she could reach her career goals in the sector of her choice. 1. The rep talked her out of it and lied about the training structure 2. They said there would be work there isn’t 3. Reps promised to help find a job in the sector she wanted and essentially ghosted her when she tried to contact them for helpIt’s sad that it’s 2023 and women Are still being treated like this equality where ?

Location is very easy to find coming from the e401 East. The Bronte Go Train station is within walking distance to the training facility. It’s a large beautiful building with a huge parking lot. There is a large rock formation out front that clearly depicts ‘Local 793’ : The International Union of Operating Engineers.There is also a large fenced yard with various types of cranes that is visible from the parking lot.In front of the building outside there is also a smaller sign that directs you to the following ( with directional arrows): The OEITO training campus: The banquet hall: Membership services: receptionA clear sign to know that you have reached your destination is a large cement structure with several rounded archways with a large circular design that is on-top of the structure and it is GREEN in colour. There is writing on the structure that says : DEMOCRACY UNITYThat is visible from the road way.(Besides the point, you will not miss the large tower cranes in the yard)I have not been inside the building as it is my son who is in the this Union.

Great place to start a career, they definitely look after their own here. My only regret is not starting with the 793 sooner.

I’ve been a member for over three years and this union is the best. I’ve been a member of other unions and can say that with confidence. Excellent training available in fact the best in Canada, perhaps the world for heavy equipment. Great wages and benefits as well.
