Stopped here to buy a special present for a discerning friend. I know nothing about scotch and asked for assistance, was told the store manager is very knowledgeable and they would get him. Noel came out and introduced himself, asked some questions, talked about different blends, casks, preferences... he was humorous and knowledgeable, I didn't feel pressured to spend beyond my budget. I learned about scotch and the gift was a HUGE hit. This is exactly why I chose a local store rather than a budget chain. Much more personal, knowledgeable service.

Feeling that you are a valued customer is important when you are deciding where to do repeat business. In my case, I was searching for a very particular wine and the sales associate, Connor, was very helpful in securing the wine from their Calgary location.What was outstanding was when I received a call from Connor the next day. He informed me my wine would be going on sale so I should resubmit my order on the day of the sale. That Connor took the time to call was very much appreciated and I bought more than I had originally intended. Bottom line, they know their stuff, have good/varied products, value the customer and as a result, I will buy from HIGHLANDER again.

Love this place! Great staff, selection of wines and prices. If you become a member (free), they send you a couple of emails a week with all their amazing specials. Well worth signing up! Definitely recommend shopping here.

Although their wine selection is nice, and the store is well laid out. Each time I've been in, there has been no staff engagement (they stay at the till talking to each other). Left empty-handed.
