Strand Hair Room

I had booked an appointment months in advance to have my hair done before my trip to Italy. With just a couple hours notice my appointment was canceled. Luckily it was a few days before my flight and I was able to rebook with a different stylist for this morning, the day before my flight. I just received a text less than an hour before my appointment canceling it once again. Now with no time to find different arrangements. If you are on a schedule this is not the place to book.

Amanda was so great! Did exactly what I wanted and was so thorough and precise. Will definitely be back to see her.

I am not happier with the service, the colour i showed them what i want on my hair it end up with different colour, it was all blonde and nice until they did 4-5 foils of cherry colour and after wash that cherry colour all faded to my blonde hair which demolished blonde colour and turns into all pink hair, owner is quite rude as i asked her they haven't mentioned that blowout has to be paid separately and it is 50$ for blowout as it is mentioned in their service hair toner and blowout all together and she rudely replied its her new business she can't do anything for free. They would not tell you blowout price before they will do it, it is expensive without satisfying results. Have spend 200$ for blonde hair colour which ends up in totally different colour and 50$ for blowout which they haven't mentioned the separate price.

Julien was great. Really took the time to show me how to deal with my hair (I was clueless) and the cut/style turned out great. Definitely going back for my next cut!

One word: worst.Definitely the worst haircut I've ever gotten.Being a new client I wasn't aware if my hairdresser was newbie/intern, and I ended up becoming her guinea pig.After cutting" my hair 80% she realised she doesn't know how to cut it according to the picture and call for help from the other hair dresser. The other hairdresser didn't ask my preference and started to correct the hair style as per her own understanding.Conclusion:I wanted the curtain bangs to land on my cheek bones

I had the worst haircut experience as it did not meet my expectations and the overall experience was unprofessional. I felt like my haircut was a “practice” test and I became a guinea pig for the hairdresser. My hairdresser is Samantha.I have scabs near my ears and my hair is crooked.

I had someone in training whose name starts with J and had not great experience. Unfortunately my hair looked a lot better going in than it did coming out. My haircut is very uneven and everytime I look at it I find a new piece that's longer or shorter than the rest. I have never experience such an uneven hair cut in my life. When I asked him to please even out the cut he tried to but then was asking me, is it even now". -It wasn't. I also feel as if he should have gotten a co worker to help as it is very stressful to have to point out where the cut is uneven in multiple spots as someone who is not holding the scissors. Sometimes when I pointed out pieces on the top layer of my hair that were cut far too short he would respond

It’s always a positive experience when I visit the salon. I highly recommend anyone go see Krystina! I’ve been going to her for a year now and she always does an incredible job with my cut as well as colour. She is an absolute gem and will make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave!

I wish I could give them more stars. Julian was a delight. He turned my flat, dark brown hair into stunning, dimensional blonde, and did it with a smile and great conversation. I live out of province but I will make it a point to return to Julian to have my hair done by him whenever I can.

I’m sorry to write this review. My hairstylist was lovely, and I hope they take this constructively.I get a lot of blowouts, however this one just wasn’t satisfactory..I asked for a blow out with curls at the end for a conference I had the next day. I have long, thick, semi-curly Italian hair, and noted this in my booking.My stylist took quite a while to blow-dry my hair in sections, that by the time he got to the last sections (the tops of my head), they had already tried too much to achieve a smooth look. They also kept finger-brushing my hair after it was blown out, which created a lot of frizz and left me with no curls the next morning. In total, 5 products were used in my hair. Completely unnecessary, this made my hair tacky and oily.For 2-2.5 hours of my time, I really wanted better. There was a girl beside us the whole time, I was hoping she’d see what was happening and step in to help.By the time of the appointment, everything was closing and I couldn’t go elsewhere to get it fixed.
