A true hidden gem along King St if you are looking for a sandwich. We tried the BBQ Pork and Satay Chicken Banh Mi and they were both amazing. The bread is absolute perfection and the service was very quick as well. If you have not been here then you are missing out.

Every time we're downtown or near New City we make sure to stop in at Givral's. Everything we got isn't pictured here but the steamed buns with the pork and the hard boiled egg is so flavourful too. The fresh rolls are perfect with that little crisp inside and my favourite banh mi as recommended by a friend is the assorted meat but ask for double and definitely spicy, those fresh Thai chillies in there really make it! If you can't handle spice then don't get it though because they're just chopped raw and added to the sandwich. The atmosphere isn't the greatest but that's part of the charm, I've always had friendly service as well. I can see how this place is very nostalgic for many! We absolutely love all the food, even our kid loves it!

Fairly standard Banh Mi , with decent ingredients for a good price. Nothing special, we came when it was kinda busy so the service was a bit rough. It really made me feel like a Chinatown place in Kitchener.

Mom and Pop shop, the prices definitely went up since the ol' days to reflect on the inflation. Unfortunately quality has gone down as well. It is a quick and affordable lunch in today's standard.

Fresh food, quickly served at a fair price. What more do you want. Never been disappointed here. Highly recommended for a quick lunch when downtown.Be aware however, it is take out only: but there are lots of public places to eat outside.

I've been coming here with my Mother since 2015. Great subs and fresh veggies and good sauce and for a good price. The mother owner is a nice lady. I've haven't seen the father in a while. Their kids have gone off to University and/or working full time.

Been getting subs here for years and it’s always consistently delicious and is a comfort food for me. Always a treat. Love supporting a small business!!! Great for parties! Just cut them in half and make a small tray. Your guest will love it.

Very popular place for it's delicious and affordable banh mi.The beef teriyaki was delicious with tender beef with just the right amount of sauce.The assorted meat banh mi is actually one that I would pass on; it's not bad and it's not great. It's missing something that I can't quite identify.All buns are lightly toasted.
