Pretty good school, but some places are just truly disgusting such as the washrooms. at least most of the teachers are nice… no summer school there?

Great school, great programs, great teachers, fantastic admin staff

not gonna lie, I really thought this was middle school was gonna be a very pleasant school. But I thought wrong, this place is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The students (yes, every grade in this school.) ARE IMMATURE (a lot of them make suggestive jokes). I hope this school improves better. still giving this review a one star.

the school doesnt care about the students at all

The school does not have enough money, the budget is clearly very low. There is also way too much construction going on, they took nearly 6 months to re-do the drop-off lane, and took a full year to open the extra lane on the road that they ripped out the whole drive through loop for. They also replaced most of the windows in the school which took ~6 months. The school also had a minor flood during winter break of 2021. It has nearly been a year, and the school is still not back to normal. The home ec/foods room is still not ready and keeps getting delayed. There is also misplaced classrooms in the library meaning that the library has to move into the student commons/ex-cafeteria. You can tell that the library clearly does not belong there as that is meant to be a work space for teachers to bring their classes, but a library is meant to be quiet. It is also way more squished than it is in the normal library. The normal library also has computer desks around the outside. In the temporary library" they are in carts. The technology policy is also very unfair

If you are going to attend PEMS be prepared that your needs won't be taken seriously. Most of the school staff will ignore kids needs in learning, eating time, personal conditions. Like in army you should be doing all that that staff wants, with alarm clock on the table sometimes. If you have special conditions like ADHD or learning difficulties - your problems, don't expect any additional attention or help. Nobody will really teach you something - some teachers just spend their time for a salary there and treat you like a part of biomass. No kindness, no empathy, no enthusiasm, or any efforts to encourage you to learn. Enjoy your middle school-prison three years.

Terrible school. Rude faculty,poor conditions ,no money in budget ever, and more terrible things. One of the teachers yelled at me for literally just telling someone to stop poking me and didn’t give me a chance to even explain myself. This school also once put up a poster directly saying “ You can be racist and kind at the same time!” Literally telling youth to be racist but also kind. Please, do not send your child here and instead send them to Yorkson Creek instead.
