I enjoyed Solara Resort ten years ago and once again fairly recently. The rooms are spacious, the pullout couch is actually comfortable (it can be a bit of work to get the blankets), and you are provided with coffee, laundry pods, and dishwasher pods. It's wonderful having a full kitchen, underground parking, and cozy rooms. I found the resort to be clean and things were in very good repair. Our only challenge was that calling the front desk was of little use and it was best to go down to the desk yourself and the fireplace never did blow any heat. The resort is located close to downtown, but you will have to walk for 15-20 minutes to get there (or drive if mobility is a challenge).

Booked a unit with two bedrooms and two bathroom for a family of 5. Plenty of space to share in the unit. It's furnished nicely and has all the utensils, pots and pans to use. Our room had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The pool was pretty nice. There is also an indoor parking garage which is a plus. The only shortcoming was furnace can be loud with some odd vibration noise whenever it was on at night.Otherwise all is well.

We had a double suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a common living room area setup for a family of 4 adults, Very clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. They have a sports and wellness therapy spa, def check that out. Kitchen suite made it easier, best coffee. I am giving only 4 stars because they need to upgrade the rooms to support smart technology esp the TVs in the rooms.

Very spacious and welcoming suites. The shower with the main head, rainfall head and blasters from the wall was heavenly! The pool and hot tubs were looking a little run down, but the size of them was more than large enough for the many people we encountered while there. A little bit of a walk to the main part of town, but in warm weather it would be an amazing and relaxing all!

First time to Alberta and didn’t know much about the areas. This stay in Canmore turned out great. The condo is in a convenient location and the accommodations were very nice. However if your planning on cooking dinners the lack of kitchen pots / pans would have made that impossible.

Spend your money elsewhere. Everything here looks great at face value, but once you're in your unit for more than an hour it becomes evident that the place was built as cheaply as possible to look as nice as it can, but has been poorly managed. The unit itself felt fine, however it's clear that not much thought was given to actually staying there and using the space.Dirty hallways and carpet, scuffs and dings on all the walls. The elevators feel unsafe. The provided luggage carts all feel like they were salvaged from the dump and all have loose bolts. Which was indicative of the resort staff that we interacted with.On one of the days of our stay a vehicle was parked on the sidewalk ramp leading to our building, effectively blocking the entire curb ramp. Recognizing this could be either an inconvenience or even a life-threatening danger should there be an emergency and someone with a wheelchair may need to use that ramp we informed the reception desk. They seemed completely confused as to why we were telling them about it. Eventually saying something non-committal like We'll make a note of it." Presumably to just get rid of us. When we returned an hour later we found the vehicle still there

I don't recommend their hotel at all. 1. We requested extra bed for my 5 years old daughter when we booked but they gave us an infant bed instead. We didn't use it. 2. I slept on the couch three nights. Very old couch, super thin because of usages in the past years. 3. We took shower with cold water. They said too many people are using the water and that's why the water is not warm enough for shower. 4. I couldn't turn the light on of the bathroom. I called and requested for candle or extension cord, because they didn't have maintenance guy. They refused. Then tomorrow morning I asked about that guy, they told me he comes sometime in the evening. Completely freeked me out! But the guy came and fixed the issue. Bad experience for me and my family.

We stayed in a lovely two bedroom suite on the 4th (top) floor. Reception was helpful, parking was good and the suite was excellent. Fireplaces, lounge, kitchen, even clothes washer and dryer. Very good location for visiting Banff and the Lakes.

Room itself was ok, relatively clean except our bathroom was left with two wet face cloths hanging in the shower from previous guests… drawers in kitchen wouldn’t keep shut… ice machine was not working….elevator takes forever… very small plug in electric grill was provided on the balcony, it was decent but not what was advertised… the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance which was disappointing, I feel like we should have received an email about this as we got there ready to hot tub and couldn’t use it.Got a huge run around from the front desk about passes to the elevate Rec Centre to compensate their pool closure, management was rude and hardly apologized or cared that it was an inconvenience and put a damper on our trip.. once we got to the rec center we were told they had 70 people on a wait list to use the pool and couldn’t come in. Not even worth the back and forth at the hotel.Overall it was just ok, there are many other complexes in the same area that are nicer and better equipped, with staff that actually cares.

We rented a unit for our family and although it was advertised as a luxury suite - it was very tired and needed quite a bit of upkeep. The faucets in both the main bathroom and kitchen, swivelled around and were very loose. The cupboards needed a coat of paint as there was a lot of wear on them, the living room couch had severed peeling on two of the three back cushions. On the third day of our stay we started noticing we were not getting much hot water. By the fourth day we had none at all and contacted the front desk. We were told a plumber would be called - on the fifth day we were still without any hot water and upon checking with the front desk again were told in a very apathetic tone they had no update and no ETA on the hot water. When you rent - I would expect at a minimum you will be getting hot water - although the location was great, we would not be renting again at this particular property. There should've at least been some sort of notice notifying people about the hot water issue as the hot water tanks are located in the main building and not in the individual units.
