Saw an amazing show last night, one of those ones that is poinient but also very funny. There were several kinds of funny as well, from completely outrageous to clever song lyrics to being funny just because it's so close to real life and you know that's exactly how things are!! The show was Mom's The Word - Talking Turkey. I don't usually do much for Christmas and I never do Christmas this early but that was part of this show too and part of the fun. Excellent show, definitely worth the visit.

We saw Mom's the Word: Talking Turkey". I was able to use the accessible parking spot right in front of the theatre. Staff were helpful. The show had moments of uproarious laughter

Every seat is a good seat. Location is fun but parking is a bear.We saw Million Dollar Quartet. Having seen it before in Memphis, just down the street from Sun Records, I cannot give a fair evaluation of performance. The actors seemed to be having a good time while not necessarily doing the best mimics of their characters.A real critique is that everyone in the cast spoke far too rapidly to be believable as Southerners. The cadence was jarring to my ears, knowing how folks talk in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. But I had had a great time all the same.

I have mixed experiences after visiting Vancouver International Improv festival. The group with the puppets were lovely, and the guys from Montreal were pretty good, too.The 3 men group from the States were bad, boring and obnoxious. It seemed like they couldn't figure out how to work together. But oh man, the group from Philadelphia was the worst of all. They had no talent, their performance was painful, there were no reason why they were on the stage.Outstanding, professional and extremely entertaining performance was Kirsten Rasmussen's (and her male counterpart's). They were way better than everyone on the stage altogether. It seems that these performances are really hit or miss.

Great intimate venue that is perfect for presenting some of Arts Club's smaller productions. The staging is impressive and the seating arrangement gives everyone a good seat. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The lounge is a great place to grab a drink before the show and during intermission!

We went to Mom's the Word, talkin turkey and had a wonderful time. The staff were great and the space was perfect for this kind of performance. Of course the location on Granville Island can't be beat. We had a great dinner after our show and got some shopping done

Quality of plays is excellent. Very entertaining, well acted sound and lighting banh on. The Theatre itsellf nothing fancy except the location on Granville Island. The lobby is new and ground level. But the theatre and bar/concession are not. No elevator to to 2nd floor bar/concession. No handrails inside theatre to get past 1st row. No seperate disability washroom. The 1 disabled stall in regular washroom is very hard to access down narrow hall, behind sinks.. You will get stuck inside waiting for everyone to finish at sinks/mirrors. The ushers however are excellent and will physically help you up the stairs to your seat and store any mobility devices for you. They also accomodate late comers. If able bodied they seat you at the back" which means a staircase to the 2nd floor. If not able to do stairs they slip you in stage level by the door then assist you to your assigned seats after intermission. They'll even give you a synopsis of what you missed. Hats off to the ushers!"

Going here felt like a fever dream. I enjoyed it (I think?). To be honest I can't believe this made it to production but it was pretty good I guess. It makes sense they sell alcohol because attending sober was an.... Experience. Would recommend you try it.... I guess.
