Fun to watch a variety of things at the rodeo. Seats are covered (though there are a few leaking spots when it rains). Tickets for the afternoon show were a good price $25-30 plus fees depending how early they are purchased).Warning!! The speakers were 105 dB when music was playing (which is about 4 minutes of permissible exposure time as per dangerousdecibals.org). This is very concerning for naive audience members and staff who do not have ear protection.People selling water, pop, beer, and 50/50 tickets in the stands.We could not figure out how to get to the dance hall. There weren’t staff around to provide direction and no signs.2 of our hot chocolates were lukewarm; one was hot. Burgers were decent though the condiments were not evenly applied (I.e., ketchup only on one half). Wait time was quite long to receive food.The clown told an unnecessary and disrespectful joke about “psychopaths.”

A lot of people and a lot of emotions! I advise everyone to visit and feel this atmosphere! Lots of fun, alcohol, attractions!!

Hands down the best big rodeo in Canada. Great atmosphere, stellar facilities, and exhilarating rodeo and wagon racing action. If you're only going to take in one rodeo, don't go to Calgary, go to Ponoka.

We went to our first Ponoka Stampede yesterday and it was a lot of fun. We were pleasantly surprised that parking, the midway and trade fair were all free. The midway was a good size, prices were reasonable and the rodeo was exceptionally well done. They kept the event moving along at an enjoyable pace. I have only ever been to the Calgary Stampede by comparison. While the two events are clearly different, I quite enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the Ponoka Stampede. It was a lot bigger than I expected for such a small town. I'll go back next year, now that I know how well the event is run.

First time in Ponoka and the first time at the Stampede! It was a fun day, but a hot one. Unfortunately due to the heat we couldn’t stay for the evening events. The daytime performances were wonderful to watch, I was amazed how these people could perform all dressed in heavy riding equipment in the heat. I would love to go back sometime!

Gorgeous arena and rodeo setup. A great family experience to come out and enjoy Ponoka Stampede and Exhibition grounds. All the amenities you could possibly need and want with all the fun and entertainment.
