Although Dave was communicative via email, showed up on time, seemed pleasant.FYI He will not wear a mask for medical reasons.This was a problem for me. Lost my business.I get people have strong beliefs yet don't you have to make a living?Save that for your off time if you must.

Buyer be aware: I was going away on holidays wanted to get a fireplace installed in my house I called “The Fireplace Store That Comes To Your Door” we discussed what I wanted we agreed on the product price and timing the installation was supposed to be done in. Gave them ½ of the money in advance and shook hands, upon my return 3 week later nothing had been done, I called them and I’m being explained that the unit had not arrived and that it could not be installed as originally agreed on. When he explained the changes from the original agreement the fireplace would have not been appropriate. So he explained that if I didn’t like it he would refund my money and later to learn that he had installed a chimney liner so the cost will be deducted from the deposit fine, but for a 2 hour labor and $ 300.00 worth of stainless steel liner he deducted $ 2.260,00 from my deposit. He didn’t do the installation because he knew that I would not have been happy with his new plans, therefore he dragged it on and ripped me off. “BUYER BE AWARE” This company doesn't deserve no stars

My experience with this company was amazing. Trustworthy, reliable, dependable and honest. I was ready to replace my fireplace but they cleaned it instead. Looks wonderful and brand new! Works like a charm.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Pricing was very reasonable and Dave will work with you to get you the best outcome for your budget. He came to my house twice to measure, quote and give me ideas. We ended up finding something that actually enhanced our overall decor, on Dave’s recommendation. He also arranged the electrician, who came in 40% lower than originally quoted!Work only took 4 days for a total wall/mantle overhaul and gas unit. They even mounted my TV and left the job site very clean. I gave them access to my home while I was at work, with absolutely no hesitation.10/10 thanks to Dave and his team!

It’s hard to know where to begin to describe the amazing service we received from Dave Neufeld. He took on an incredibly difficult and challenging job for us.... replacing the existing workings of our fireplace with an efficient new system, which includes a fan to force the warm air into the building. The job involved moving a 500 lb. unit up a very steep hill to get the the worksite, as well as numerous other complicated issues. The best thing about Dave and his crew was their “can do” attitude. When a regular person might have collapsed from exhaustion, or given up altogether, Dave and his crew just kept on working merrily away! Today, we have a fantastic unit which looks beautiful. Dave was able to preserve the original appearance of our fireplace. He travels long distances to give absolutely top notch service to his customers. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work Dave did, or with his product. We highly recommend Dave Neufeld’s company!

We had an old coal fire place that had a fairly small fire box and wanted to see what could be done to convert it to something wood burning. After some initial research we thought a wood burning insert would be the best approach.Out of four companies we spoke to, two refused to even come out to see us, saying what we wanted to do was impossible, one came out and looked and proceeded to tell us all the reasons it would not work and failed to deliver a quote despite assuring us we would have on within a week or two.Dave, on the other hand, came out twice to see us and rather than tell us why it couldn't be done, worked with us to come up with a great solution to install a wood burning insert after making some changes to the face of the existing fireplace.My wife, daughter and I were able to enjoy our first evening by our new fireplace last night.Throughout the entire process Dave was very upfront about cost and level of effort involved and always left the work area neat and tidy at the end of the day.I would definitely recommend speaking with Dave for any work you need.

I honestly have to say that this has been one of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor. The guys from The Fireplace Store that Comes to Your Door were fabulous. Not only did they accommodate the needs of our family, but they worked diligently to come up with a creative solution for a surprise turn in our chimney. Clean, courteous and hard working, they provided quality service from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone!

I hired this company headed by David Neufeld, to add a fireplace to our home. My main issue was not with his work (although it was not the best), but with David's very unprofessional attitude. I found him to be sexist. He preferred not to speak to me, but rather to my husband, whom he treated with respect. He also spoke down to me, when I asked him questions regarding the dates he would be attending our home, along with the times etc. He sent me long emails stating that I was self-entitled, meanwhile I was paying him a significant sum for a professional job and was not asking for much more! I would not recommend David or his company for your services. You can get more professional service (and better treatment) elsewhere.

Not a fan of this business or the way they operate.Was looking to get a wood stove installed and was talking with David. We sent over 15 emails back and forth all day talking about price, installation and even sent pictures he requested etc. He said he had a used chimney in good condition that he could install for much cheaper than a new one. Once he sent the total price for everything (installation, used chimney and certification letter) I sent a reply right away to accept them and asked when he could come out and start the installation.A day goes by and I don't hear anything, so I send another email to confirm the next morning. He finally got back to me in the evening saying that the used chimney sold the day before! I was like excuse me? Did you not just offer that to me 2 days ago and I accepted it within an hour of getting the quote?" I said if he needed more than an email confirmation that I want the chimney and the install I would have been more than happy to send a deposit.But no. All I get was a smartass response from him." sorry
