Southwinds Roofing

Southwinds Roofing installed shingles on my new house in 2012. They did an excellent job. Unfortunately my shingles did not bond properly due to a product deficiency. Due to this many times shingles were flying off with heavy winds. I called Mike every time and he was in no time on site and repaired the roof right away without even charging for his work. I can not stress how helpful Mike was in looking after us. He is not only installing shingles and runs away. He is looking after his existing customers year after year. I appreciate this so much since I know from own experience that many businesses do not care anymore after the initial job is done. I highly recommend Southwinds Roofing to anyone. Thank you so much Mike for all the work you did for us.

This company did our neighbour's roof today. We have now found 5 nails in our backyard and 2 in our driveway (which they also used to access said roof). One of the workers also dropped a knife into our yard which they did knock on our door to come collect (thankfully). We have a security camera that views both our driveway and our backyard and there was a very minimal attempt to clean up our driveway (main focus was on the portion to the side of it that is the neighboring property). No one asked to check our backyard either when doing cleanup. Not very thorough and we have both vehicles and pets that wouldn't appreciate being punctured by a nail. Sloppy work.Edited to add:It's actually hard to believe you think it's okay that nails have been left behind on a property you didn't do work on. It's also bizarre to me that you feel I am not justified in leaving a 1-star review when this is my experience.I'm really unsure why you are so defensive here and going on about honest hardworking men (has nothing to do with my review). A simple apology and/or offer to go over our property with a magnet would have been a better approach to handling this and rectified the situation.We did not assume the risk of getting nails in our yard as we were not the ones getting our roof done. We should not have had to use our time to clean up after your company used our driveway (which we were under no obligation to allow). If this team was so concerned with neighbouring properties as you imply, we wouldn't be finding garbage left behind from the job. The shingles we previously had to pick up were much less dangerous to our pets and vehicles than the nails your crew left behind.Very unprofessional.

Southwinds completed a total roof replacement of our home. They were prompt in providing an estimate and able to complete the project the same week. They offered a good selection of shingle brands compared to other companies and upgrades to premium products were competitively priced. The crew did a great job on cleanup of the site which was something I value greatly since we have a shared driveway.

Southwinds just completed our roof. Removed old shingles replaced with shingles that we picked from the samples Mike dropped off. Mike was amazing to deal with. Getting our roof done was time sensitive because we are getting the driveway done, I wanted roof done first. Mike replied to my quote request on a Sunday evening with a detailed list on quote. One week later he fit us in. The crew that Mike employs were on the roof at 7:30 AM sharp and the site was left cleaner than when they arrived. Oh yeah completed at 12:30 PM WOW great crew very mannerly and respectful we couldn't ask for a better crew and Mike the owner was a professional at all times.

Excellent service. Mike is exceptional and reasonably priced. He was attentive and helpful throughout the process.

I met Mike today for the first time when he came to collect money. What a nice guy - very easy going! We had pleasant exchanges on-line and over the phone and his staffs are very organized and efficient. He was recommended to me by my best friend and he's been using them for many years. I called at about 1pm. Spoke with the owner Mike. Who was incredible, professional and also helped me with my roof situation. He called his roofers Ken and Corey and they arrived shortly and took pictures of the roof. Mike then called and have a quote promptly and it’s 4 pm the same day and the work is all done. Roof looks good no worries. Thanks so much for your amazing customer service and a job well done. I definitely recommend Southwind Roofing. The truth are. Outstanding and amazing.

Southwind roofing was one of the few companies to respond to me. I had a seal in one of my original ski lights fail causing excessive condensation build up. I had mike replace both ski lights. He did a great job matching up shingles and he even did it on a holiday! Mike was awesome to chat with when I paid. He is who I recommend and will be calling for any future roofing needs!

This is my second time using Southwinds. This time for my principal residence. These guys know what they are doing. Were here on time as expected and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Hand nailing shingles beats out the other guys and at the best value for money. My roof is pretty big and these guys handled it with ease. Mike the owner was more than responsive for me. I asked several follow up questions after his quote (got his first before anyone else I contacted even responded) and Mike was patient with me and provided me all the answers I needed. If you are doing a roof I would recommend this crew!!

Mike, the owner, is so kind, honest and friendly, and he ensures a professional and seamless experience with great customer service! We knew exactly what was happening and when, the large team replaced our roof in one day, with such precision. The crew was so friendly and professional, and like another reviewer stated, they do work like a well-oiled machine in tandem with each other. They were punctual, efficient and downright awesome!
