Dunn Heating and Air Conditioning

We had an excellent service experience today from Dunn Heating and Air Conditioning. The furnace and AC unit required routine maintenance (which we were notified about via our themostat), and even though nothing was wrong, we learned a lot about the state of our equipment and how to keep it functioning optimally from Phil. In so many areas, customer service seems to be a thing of the past, but not with Dunn. We continue to be very pleased that we chose Dunn for our HVAC needs when we needed a new furnace 11 years ago.

Dunn Heating is a very professional and trustworthy company that takes the time to explain their products to you and answer any of your questions that you may have.Thanks to the hard working team members (Hank, Tom, Ethan, and Andre in photo included) who worked hard on installing our new heating system, overall did a great job, and we are very pleased with the great service that Dunn Heating provided.

For the first time we had some Preventative Maintenance (PM) on our York AC unit. The unit is about 10 years old. In May, the FIRST time we turn on the AC unit in 2023, and FIRST time since the PM was performed by Dunn, the unit has problems.Dunn comes out and inspects the unit, charges us another $190 to tell us we needed a new fan motor assembly. No explanation or apology on the coincidence of this being required directly after the PM was performed. They did not seem to want to even discuss the coincidence.We have been Dunn customers for a long time so had to give them at least 2 stars.

We called Dunn Heating recently to repair our furnace. The technician, Randy, arrived quickly and was so friendly, professional and tidy. We will definitely keep using Dunns!

Needed a new air handler for our AC system. Dave provided excellent diagnostic work, and Alex, Mike, and Andre were great installers! Definitely recommend them for quality, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Great new furnace installation by Alex Dunn and Mike Merriman! They worked efficiently getting the old furnace out and new one in, plus managed to re-route the pipes to make more room around the furnace. Nice clean-up afterwards and good explanation of the furnace operation.

I have consistently had positive experiences dealing with all staff at Dunn Heating and Cooling. Most recently, I met Khiem who was very helpful as I made the decision to purchase a new furnace and install a heat pump. I was also impressed with Alex, Andre and Mike who came to do the installation. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and worked very well as a team. Having had a good past experience with Dunn Heating on a minor HRV repair, I invited them along with two other companies to quote on the installation of a new heat pump/furnace system for my home. Very impressed with the time taken by Dunn's sales rep to understand our requirements and propose the right system. Not the cheapest quote but got a high quality system installed right the first time and hands down best set of guarantees. Scheduling and installation was flawless and our home comfort has improved tremendously. Everyone we dealt with at Dunn was responsive, courteous and professional. Money well spent!

Under the Greener Homes Grant, a hybrid furnace and heat pump system were installed.  The heat pump failed. The replacement heat pump failed.  An investigation revealed that both heat pumps had been improperly installed. A replacement central A/C unit was requested.  A 2 ton unit was installed without any assessment or quote given. Two previous quotes from other contractors indicated that a 1.5 ton unit was needed at a cost of under $4,000 in each case. We were charged $7050 for the A/C unit, the same price as for the heat pump. Upon questioning of this charge, we were verbally  offered a refund of $384 which we have not accepted.We have demanded copies of all paperwork and specs related to the furnace and A/C as well as proof of registration for warranties as none has been forthcoming.There has been no follow-up either to verbal commitments made by technicians or management or to several phone calls.This matter is yet to be resolved.A rating of 1 is too high for Dunn Climate Care.Since this Google review, we have not received copies of all paperwork and specs to date as requested...After the review, we received a proposal from one person and two from another person in the company. None of the proposals recognized the overcharge between the heat pump and the air conditioner. We outlined our expectations on June 19 to which there has been no response for over two weeks.

We have had an exceptional experience with Alex and Mike who have just installed a new heating and a/c system for us. The installation went smoothly and they were. both patient and humorous as they gave us our operating briefing. We have used Dunn for the past 10 years for check-ups and Dave has always looked after us very well. Dunn is our go-to company for any heating or A/C issues.
