Get a Grip Jiu Jitsu Academy

I have been attending the women's class at Get a Grip and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Coach Alex is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive in his teaching approach. He makes sure to explain all techniques thoroughly, and is always available to answer any questions we have.What I love most about this class, though, is the positive and welcoming environment. All the women genuinely support each other, and there is a real sense of community in the room.If you're looking for a supportive, empowering environment to learn jiu jitsu, this is the place to be. my youngest daughter has been learning from coach Alex for 3 months now and she looks forward to each and every day! both Alex and Tysha are two of the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of teaching my children. my oldest watched her sister have so much fun that she also decided to join in the Get a Grip family! I would highly recommend Get a Grip to any new or experienced learner!

I've been going for just over a month. I came by myself and was pretty nervous to join alone. However, the welcoming atmosphere was everything I needed to sign up and stick around!Alex is a patient and wonderful instructor, and Tysha is always available to answer any question you might have about anything!Truly an amazing place and community!

My son loves his class. Very welcoming. I love the studio set-up, they even have a playarea for the kids not participating in classes.

This academy is amazing! Coach Alex, Tysha, and all of the assistant coaches are so great with the kids. Safety is their main priority and it shows! I would not hesitate to recommend this Jiu Jitsu academy to anyone. If you haven’t already check them out!

Over the past 6 months I have watched my shy little boy who sat in the corner chewing his sleeves turn into a strong confident kid showing his true personality in ALL aspects of life. He has made so many new friends and tackles new situations head on everyday.. All because of Alex and Tysha at Get a Grip Academy!They are so kind, patient, and encouraging to every child who joins. I’ve watched other shy kids go though the same transformation as my son and I’ve watched the wild kids settle and become focused on new techniques. This is truly a wonderful place, and is exactly what your kid needs.

I've started training at this gym with my friend about 3-4 months ago. What an experience, at first I was nervous, obviously. It turned out to be sooooo fun, it was relaxing environment, go at your own pace, try what you want to try, Safety first. I can't imagine not going now, especially seeing my progress from the first week. WOW. The coach Duo Alex and Tysha are sooo chill, kind, respectable.If your hesitant about joining you shouldn't be!
