Henley House

I’m visiting in a dementia department often and I don’t understand why the government doesn’t suspend this place. Their management totally doesn’t care resident’s safety and needs.There is no professional attitude found when family pointed out their problems.The residents in this place has no help and control, they go anywhere they want and staff doesn’t care what they doing.Personal belongings often missing when you sent for wash.

I had been contacted about my application via Indeed. Beata Feder sent me correspondence to have a phone interview, she never called. Never apologize or bothered to follow up.Not surprised by the bad reviews. Won ever waste my time with that company again.

The management at Henley House in particular the DOC is a tyrant without any concern for her staff (PSW's and nurses).On a daily basis this DOC violates the staff's employment rights , exercises discipline without merit and is racist to staff of other ethnic backgrounds.Despite having a collective agreement in place with a Union entity this DOC feels she has the right to mistreat all her staff on a daily basis.It is obvious that management is only concerned about their financial bottom line instead of treating the staff properly and respectfully who ensure the company's bottom line.For any families out there that have loved ones in care or are considering bringing their loved ones to Henley House, they should want to reconsider this decision. Formanagement to be so uncaring and disrespectful to those working on the front lines for our loved ones, one can only conclude what kind of care can be provided to loved ones if the worker's there are under constant threat of losing their job and being mistreated in the work place.Management should lead by example.I have read some of the other reviews posted regarding staff issues and lack of professionalism.Please be reassured all of the PSW's and nurses do their best.But their efforts are being hindered by management.Be reassured the people suffering the most from the DOC's management style are the residents.

My daughter works here. They are horrible to work for. The psws do more work than anyone, only to be treated like slaves. The bosses don’t follow proper protocol and they don’t care about the workers. There no respect for the staff. Part time workers work full hours but do not get full time benifits. Worst place ever to work.

The PSWs are supportive and friendly with the clients but there are far too few people there to support those in their care. Patients are left in their beds for a good portion of the day because they lack the necessary staffing to dress and feed everyone in a timely manner.Clothing, although properly labelled, goes missing before your family member even gets to wear items. Even with new management, they claim never to have been informed about the volumes of clothing that has gone missing since my mother has been in their care. Either prepare yourself to maintain your loved one's clothing, or to purchase several new outfits on a monthly basis.

Evening staff here is just nuts.Only the morning staff is fair to you and well professional and behaved.Evening staff just talk in their own language which is rude and unprofessional and making other people uncomfortable. If you talk to them about something, they talk right away in their own language on your face about that. Need a well mannered staff in the evening.

Staff is rude. Belongings go missing, never to be returned. Staff take up all of the parking spaces and to hell with you if you cannot find a place to park despite your being the ones who pay for everything there. Management has been a complete disappointment although there are new admins there these days we'll see how they pan out. Lots and lots of staff turn around - speaks volumes. I would NEVER recommend this place.

This LTC home is terrible. Medical staff never follows up on any concerns of family of residents. Never the correct amount of staff on duty. They leave residents in bed all day long claiming not enough staff to get them up. My father-in-law has had 6 infections in 7 months. He was completely coherent when he went in. Now just over 2 years he can’t even stay awake and is completely incoherent. If you want good care for your family members do not put them in this home.

Asked for a zoom meeting with my mother, refused. Uncooperative. Almost impossible to contact, unless you know one of the chiefs and their extension #.

Nasty place ever! I went to visit a family member and this place is disgusting !!I’m a health care worker myself, I was shocked about the care I saw in this place, until afternoon morning medications wasn’t administered to other residents including my Aunt.Other resident’s family were complaining about missing the mother’s ring and other valued stuff.Staff complained about working short all the time when we asked why the care and meds weren’t given yet. My Aunt is continuously on UTI, antibiotics and antibiotics.I’m really concerned about the residents and the staff of this awful place.Please don’t place your beloved ones in this place, it’s indespicable . 0 star
