I am enjoying the yoga classes but wish there were more options for classes. I would like to see a yoga class on friday as of right now there is no option for that. Instructors have been great and I am enjoying the classes.

Shapes is the worst fitness club ever. Due to a health problem I am not able to use the gym anymore. That's why I asked them to cancel my membership but they didn't. They said that Shapes does not cancel membership even for a health matter! I believe a fitness club is supposed to be a place to improve your health but Shapes fitness club cares about anything but your health. I was a member for the Planet Fitness. I was paying only 16.99 a month and was very happy with everything over there including their member-friendly policy. When I requested them to cancel my membership because I had moved to a new housing which was closer to Shapes, they cancelled my membership in less than five minutes without any questions. I moved membership to Shapes because it was near my home. That was a big mistake for sure but I got my lesson. As soon as my contract is over with Shapes, I will leave the club for ever. I do not recommend Shapes fitness to anyone and will share my story through my social media. Hopefully it will help others to not make my mistake.

This location is good for cardio but it is very small. It would be nice if they took away a few treadmills/ellipticals and added other machines.

I cannot recommend this gym. The equipment there is very poor, there is not enough space, everyone is crowding and you need to stay in line to get one, and the price is not so low. When I arrived, I was extremely obsessively offered a personal trainer. You just ask a question and right there they are ready to sign the form with you, without even giving you a chance to think. When the girl made out a contract with me, she spoke very quickly, she had a terrible accent, and as a result, she also told me to my face that my English was bad, which made me extremely upset then, because I had only been in the country for half a year and At the same time I freely communicate with people and understand them. But apparently the girl at the reception was taught that she need to make a stressful situation so that the client does not pay attention to the little things and does not ask anything. for example, the moment that the contract is for a year, she did not tell me. she circled the signing date, but did not mention the end date. I asked her if I can close the contract at any time and she said yes. This is how they mislead customers. They didn’t really explain anything to me, neither about the schedule, nor about the rules for using the gym. I do NOT recommended

This is the worst gym I have ever been to. Management will yell at their employees while they’re in the middle of a personal training session with you instead of politely taking them to the side away from customers. Plus they will fight leg from limb when you request to cancel your membership and harass you through email that there is still outdated payments on your account. Complete rip off and overall terrible management. Do not put yourself in that position and join a different gym who actually care about there customers.

This review is meant to inform all existing members as well as individuals who want to join this gym in the near future in order to save time and money. Like everyone else, I selected this gym for my daily regular workout, but God had other plans for me, and I had to leave Winnipeg and terminate my membership at that club. But when I contact them to cancel, the service rejects all of the facts and says I can't cancel the membership. I reached them over 50 times in an attempt to persuade the gym personnel and their so-called approved members that I was no longer in state. I had provided them all conceivable documentation, from my airline ticket to my work letter, but these folks were not interested in addressing the situation. Following that, they sent me an email stating that I needed to pay them $1600 in order to avoid renewing my membership, or I would have to give over my membership to someone else to avoid this issue. Even after i told them i am an international student and i don't have any of my family member here with me but still they were never interested to listen me. Even worse, they tack on extra fees for personal training that I never requested when I question why I must pay such a sum. At the time, I was a student, and it was challenging for me to make ends meet. It's difficult for people like us to put food on the table, so having to pay $1600 in such a dire circumstance is really a pain in the head. However, due of this inexperienced personnel, I had to go through a lot of hardships and am still dealing with them now. I visited their location several times, before leaving the city i gave them my a written letter with proofs that i am no longer here please cancel this they denied. From July 2022 to December 2022 I've sent them approx $300. In January 2023, I received a email from gym after sending them 1000 emails of cancellation to services in which they told me that I have to write a letter again and send them again on their address and i did the same. After week i again receive a email from TINA that I have to pay $500 to cancel this. SILVIA, THE MANAGER, was working their when I left the city in July and I already gave her a written letter with proofs that I am leaving please cancel it. NOW, i am asking the OWNER of this place SIR, I gave my written cancellation note in July 2022 but your members didn't cancel it, is it my fault. Moreover, I've already sent Shapes fitness $300 WITHOUT USING ANY SERVICES still your people are ASKING FOR $500 FOR CANCELLATION . Please guide me WHERE WAS MY FAULT, I THINK JOINING YOUR GYM WAS. If It was Possible, I would have given the staff and the gym a perfect score if it had been possible, but for the time being all I can do is advise my friends to save their time & expense.

Shapes is worst gym. I had worst experience with them as well as bad staff. I asked them about their price changes because I am under one year contract and contract means that there will be no changes after the contract signed. So I asked to one of their manger and she gave me that meaningless explanation about their price changes. She said that shapes gives you discount that time where were signing up for membership and now shapes does not want to give discount anymore. Shapes changed discount amount and it changed your membership fee. When I asked them to give me my employee discount on my membership then shapes’ manager said they will not change the price of your membership because you are under contract. So, if shapes wants to change(increase the price)then they can but if you will ask for your employee discount then they will consider contract term.I am regretting on my decision to choose shapes. I would not recommend anyone to get membership at shapes because they just try to lock you in contract for one year and then they will change their prices and do as they like.

This review is to aware all the current members and for those who are planning to take this gym's membership in coming future just to save their time and money . As everyone I had also chosen this gym for my daily routine exercise but by god's plan I got my job in some other province and I had to leave WINNIPEG and cancel the membership for that gym . But when I reach out to them for cancellation the staff denies all the facts and said I cant cancel the membership for lifetime now. I have called them more than 50 times try to convince the gym staff and their so called authorized members that I am no longer be in state. I had shown them all the possible proofs from my air ticket to job letter but these guys are in no mood of resolving the issue . After that they sent me an email saying I have to pay $1600 to them in order not to renew the membership or I have to handover my membership to someone else for this headache. Even more when I ask them why I have to pay to such amount they add additional charges for personal training which was never opted by me. I was a student at that time and it was pretty hard for me to make both ends meet . Paying $1600 in such a crisis situation is really a pain in head as bringing food to the table is hard for people like us but because of this INEXPERIENCED staff I had suffer a lot and even currently I am going through this . I could have given the staff and the gym NEGATIVE rating if possible but all I can do now is aware my fellow mates and countrymen to save their time and money.

I just signed up very recently.For me it was the convenience close to my home. I also signed up with the trainer sessions which will help me with proper form of my movements. First session with my trainer Jacob, and I definitely felt my work out the day after. Looking forward to what the rest of the lessons and membership will bring with my goals.
