GREAT TASTE CHINESE CUISINE LTD
As a Chinese, I am confident to say that the food quality was really bad (overnight items). This is the second chance we gave this restaurant but looks like there is no improvement, and in fact, it is even worse. If you are reading this, you probably are debating whether you should go. Then I would recommend you search for somewhere else if you want to find traditional Chinese cuisine.

VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES. I paid for food to enjoy and they will give you nothing but dissapoinment. Called to inform them and they talk as of they don’t understand what you’re saying and hang up on you. Goodness. Don’t go to this place if you don’t to ruin your day!! I said more sauce with my Chicken Chowmein and I had this super dry disgusting food!! I hate this place so much!!

GREAT TASTE CHINESE CUISINE LTD
I feel like I can tell how good a restaurant is going to be by the soup dumplings so I order them first. This place was DELICIOUS! I didn’t want to stop eating. The duck was very impressive. The soup dumplings were 3 1/3 out of 5. I am very picky about my dumplings. I’ve had 5/5 dumplings and honestly 3 1/2 is the best I’ve ever given so that’s really good. The rest of the meal was strong and done very well. The staff were friendly and kind. If you’re in Calgary definitely eat here! The downside is you’ll eat so much because it’s so good! I am going to need to diet for a week after because I wanted more of everything. My Chinese mother-in-law was looking at me in shock because I never over eat and she’s usually feeding me more. It was so good ❤️

GREAT TASTE CHINESE CUISINE LTD
I just found this new branch this week. Food is good same with the downtown location. We arrived with few diners at 6pm but was getting full in the next few minutes. I loved the salted egg tofu and the pork dumpling soup. Braised pork was really good as well. Big servings also. They also have good size parking lot. Service is not as good as the downtown location. They seem to be not smiling much specially if you aren’t Chinese :) i hope that more smiles will be seen here on our next visits. Overall, experience was great!

GREAT TASTE CHINESE CUISINE LTD
Everytime I’ve went it’s been great portion and the flavour is on point 80% of the time. My favourite thing about how they prepare food at this restaurant is that I’m not as thirsty after eating out as opposed to other Chinese restaurantsWould recommend giving this restaurant a try.

UPDATE:We have now eaten there quite a few times and have tried many different dishes. EVERYTHING is delicious! All the staff is also super friendly. This place deserves way more than 5 stars!only 5 stars because I couldn't give more. OMG, what a gem! this is by far the best dim sum we ve had in YYC, and the freshest as well.Good size servings, no filler veggies like daikon or taro on dishes such as curry squid or beef tripe, the siu long bao were fantastic, so was the spicy wonton, and don't get me started on the spicy shredded beef and beef tripe, it was beyond this world!highly recommended!

Came here to takeout 2 main courses for dinner last night. We ordered the Braised Beef Brisket 紅燒牛腩 and the Salted Egg Yolk Tiger Prawns 金沙老虎蝦. Both dishes were very tasty. The kids always like the deep fried rice noodles garnishes with the shrimps although they also enjoy the shrimps. The beef shank and tendon had lots of favour. They also have a 10% off promotion if the order is over $30, which is a bonus. We had to microwave a bit to warm up the dishes at home since the weather was super cold...not a problem. While I was there, I took pictures of the dim sum menu. I think they have takeout for that too but never tried...maybe next time.

GREAT TASTE CHINESE CUISINE LTD
I really don't know why their rating is so low! After trying 90% of the Dim Sum places in Calgary this is my favorite place! The food is always spectacular; although half the time the service isn't great. But with food this delicious I really could care less.Our favorites are the Wontons in Spicy Sauce, Pork and Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings, Chiu Chow Dumplings, Salt & Pepper Squid and so many more!

Came here for dim sum lunch around 11:45am on a Saturday.First impression: The first server who greeted us at the door told us to wait for a small table by the window as those people were about to pay and leave, then a 2nd server (I think is the manager/owner) came along and tried to seat us at a table for 8-10 people. Our party was only 2 adults and 1 toddler so I told her I'd rather wait for the smaller one, but she started saying there's 2 other people in line behind me and that they will get the smaller table. I informed her that we arrived first how come we can't get the smaller table first? She said because we have more people so we must get the big table. I didn't want to continue arguing so we settled for the massive round table.Food: Food came out hot and fresh, flavour was good and tasty. Didn't have any complaints regarding the taste or quality of the food at all. The steamed rice in clay pot was a pretty big portion too.Service: They were pretty busy and there's not enough servers around, it took us a while to flag a server down to grab us some hot sauce. But they do clean up pretty quickly, as soon as you finish the dim sum they come and take the empty steamers awayNote: They give you the bill but you have to pay at the front counterI would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu as my family did enjoy the food even though there was a lack of service.
