Cumbraes of Dundas

You can definately taste the quality of the products from Cumbraes. It's worth the extra few dollars for that super tasty dinner. I love the rib eye steaks in particular and other foods such as pasta and deli meats! Staff are always super friendly and I always pop in when I'm in town! Yum!

I have been searching for beef Brisket for awhile now. Finally found it at Cumbraes and man was it good. Smoked it for 12 hours and it came out perfect! We lived in Memphis TN for a few years and have been searching for a good butcher and meat shop to go to. Found it!!

So, I have only been here a few times now, and have purchased Rib Eye and a few other smaller pre packaged items.I can say without a doubt, this place has the best steaks in all of Hamilton.The price is steep, but your paying for local farming and unbelievably high quality meat.I am a customer for life.

Omg!!! I love it. I was there 1 wèek ago refer bu my son, because he always bought in Cumbraes Toronto. I live in St. George and this one on Hamilton is the more close one. But does matter how far I have to drive. That place worthy the time. Service it's amazing, the products. Everything is 5 starts. I love it.

Had heard good things and was expecting much better than I received.Called and ordered 3 racks of St. Louis cut ribs and was surprised when offered berkshire pork ribs; fantastic I thought!Picked up the order and when I opened the vacuum pack I was greated with the most pathetic ribs I have ever seen. Almost all the meat had been trimmed off the bones, leaving next to nothing to cook and eat. For the premium price they charge you would expect a lot more.

This is absolutely the best butcher in the area. We have Never had a product that disappointed. We are now trying their butterfly lamb with lemon and herbs and pate with armagnac. Also looking forward to trying their honey and clover chicken

Good cuts of meat, was there on Christmas Eve to pick up some fresh meats, got some Black Forest ham which was great.Overpriced even though the quality is great.

We've been going to Cumbraes since 1995 (Steve, Alistair, etc), but just like others who have reviewed here, the quality is hit-and-miss. For example, their whole chickens are great, but their turkeys not so much. Their steaks are good too, but we had leg of lamb over Easter that was supposed to have been butterflied, but wasn't, and was tough as leather to chew. It's difficult to believe their claim of meat that is unsurpassed in quality and taste." There has either been a sea change in their procurement policy or their management philosophy. The bottom line is inconsistency. I am not the only one who has made these observations. We are looking at other options in the area for our butcher."

Cumbraes is by far the best butcher in all of Ontario. Their history in the business speaks for itself. The quality and variety of meats sold here is top notch. The staff is more then helpful and always takes an extra step to make you feel welcome. It all starts on the farms and for this I suggest watching their videos. Truly is an amazing butcher. Our favourite cut of beef would either be their T-Bones or their NY. Don’t sleep on the Miami short ribs either, and their boneless chicken thighs. Bon appetit!
