Freedom Dog Training & Behaviour

We booked a private training session (puppy consultation) with Eileen for our new puppy at the beginning of December. We are new pet owners and were a bit overwhelmed at where to start with a new pup. Eileen was amazing and Charlie loved her. She was so calm and full of wonderful advice. She was very knowledgeable and gave us such great advice on where to start. She had mentioned she also boards pets and we knew instantly we would use that service if required.A couple weeks ago we decided to have Eileen watch Charlie when we took our kids on a ski trip. We were nervous leaving our pup for the first time but Eileen was nothing but outstanding. She made us feel so comfortable right from the start with instant updates. We loved receiving the text messages and pictures on how Charlie was doing through the the weekend. Charlie had a blast and was absolutely exhausted from such a great weekend. We will certainly use Freedom Dog again and would highly recommend Freedom Dog to anyone looking for training or pet boarding.

We adopted a rescue dog in late May but we had very little experience in training, raising and incorporating a dog into our family. Further our puppy, was extremely free spirited and, at times, anxious. She would react aggressively to other dogs and sometimes strangers. With our lack of experience we struggled to read our puppy's body language and understand her needs.We knew we needed help and that's where Freedom Dog and Eileen came in. Eileen's approach is extremely thoughtful and based on helping a dog make good decisions. She has helped us to understand and respect the needs of our puppy. As a result, we have learned to support our puppy's wellness while at the same time developing a strong bond based on trust with our puppy. Through Eileen's help, we have addressed many issues with our puppy from pulling on walks to charging the door when someone rings the doorbell to being aggressive with other dogs on walks. We have learned how to help our puppy address these issues and she now listens extremely well on walks well still enjoying herself, holds a sit even with the front door open and a stranger is at the door, and can comfortable be on a walk without reacting to other people or dogs.We have also boarded at Freedom Dog and attended daycare. The space for the dogs is very large and safe. If the dogs are comfortable with each other they get to play together and Eileen supervises them closely. The dogs also have a great space inside complete with comfy sofas. Also, Eileen shares countless photo's of your dog well they are there as an added bonus!

Eileen is the perfect mix of kind, understanding, and knowledgeable to support anyone’s dog training needs. Without any previous experience owning dogs, I adopted a 2 year old rescue dog who is amazing, but not without his challenges. Eileen has helped me understand how to meet his needs and set boundaries to allow successful co-living with a high drive, independent dog. Her house is a refuge where he can go to play with friends in a reliable and safe manner. Eileen is careful to incorporate our current training needs when he is there boarding (ex: leash training) and private training sessions with her have allowed me to move another dog into my home and build relationships with friend’s dogs as well. I would not be half the dog owner I am without her input and support over the last two years, and my dog’s life would certainly be less full without her and her dog crew.

Invaluable information ! Eileen makes it easy to follow. Nothing short of pure positive energy. I look forward to creating a trusting, loving relationship with my new puppy. Our first session has been great for changing the way I think as an owner and how my dog responds! I am already looking forward to our next session and hope this develops into a life long relationship with freedom dogs! Freedom Dog is a second home to my golden retriever. At Freedom Dog, he receives the best care and is treated like part of the family. Eileen has helped Ford become comfortable with other big dogs again after he had a bad experience at a daycare and was fearful. He loves playing in her big yard as well.

Freedom Dog was recommended to us through our SCARs foster for some help as first time pup owners. We are so thankful for this recommendation as Eileen is wonderful! We were a bit anxious as all puppy classes have been booked or closed, but 1:1 training turned out to be much more helpful! She focused on our concerns and gave helpful feedback for training our pup that we otherwise may have overlooked. She has been checking in with us ever since our first visit and has been sending us training videos/ tips to any issues we may be having during her own free time. We had a private training session with Freedom Dog and were very impressed. Eileen listened attentively to get to know us and our puppy and where we were at with training. She was observant and calm throughout our session, helping us to refine some of the training we had been doing and teaching us valuable new techniques and skills to work on with our puppy. She answered all of our questions and created an atmosphere of positivity and support throughout our session. She made herself available via email to answer any other questions that could come up and for the next few weeks, we received a weekly email from her to check in and see how things were going. Beyond happy with my experience with Eileen and Freedom Dog. We reached out to Eileen for a couple private training sessions to brush up on walking ques/socialization that fell to the way side over the last year. It is very clear that Eileen is incredibly knowledgeable and truly cares about her doggy client's. More than anything, Eileen gave me and my partner the confidence that we knew what we were doing and that assurance has increased the confidence in our dog, as well.
