From hovering over me as I try to make a simple purchase of hair products. To asking me more regularly than people of no colour, whether “I need any help finding anything”. Discrimination is real.

It seems like Sally Beauty will hire just about anyone with no knowledge about hair and products. They seriously need a major upgrade! DO NOT go with their recommendations you will regret it. I made the mistake of asking an employee for hair coloring products and now my hair is completely destroyed. What a waste of time and money.I would highly suggest to save up and go see a professional for quality results. I will not be going back to Sally Beauty after multiple disappointments.

Perfect little gem of a beauty store. Ask for Deidre for all questions but *especially* hair color questions. Would give 5 stars if stock was more consistent (some products empty, not replaced shelf) and some disinterested" employees (lazy/gossiping behind the till or in the back) but the love it or return it guarantee can't be beat. Solid 4 stars."

Pretty disappointed honestly :/// My mother and I had gone by for some hair products as a yearly tradition kinda thing, but my mom can’t wear a mask, and she has a medical for it. Her anxiety flares really bad and she starts to panic and gets extremely claustrophobic. We expected some trouble. We entered, stayed as back as possible and asked the (extremely polite) employee if we were allowed in, and offered to show the medical form. After being given the okay, although being cautioned to social distance, we walked towards the hair colour, where we patiently waited for a lady to find what she needed so we wouldn’t be in her space. Then we looked at a couple options, as customers do, and I noticed the nice lady from before walk into the employees section. Almost immediately after she stepped off the floor, another (blonde, long hair, pink mask) employee came by and asked mom to put on a mask. We were polite about it and explained that we had a medical, to which she wouldn’t listen let alone look at it and basically told us that medical exemptions were fake and illegal. (She also said it would be our fault if the shop got sued or fined, but because of the bylaw, the only person that could potentially be fined, considering we weren’t sure about medicals, was us??? That’s why we asked for permission to come in???????) We tried to reason with her and explain that we wouldn’t have come in without permission, and that we were social distancing and trying to be as respectful as possible, but she simply would not listen and even though smiling, she was frankly really rude. I would have understood if she had found some other way to deal with the situation (ie, asking mom to wait outside while I texted or called her, or simply asking us to leave) but the fact that she fought with us over something we were TOLD was okay? Not to mention discrimination against mental illnesses and saying we shouldn’t be allowed outside... Even communicating a mutual understanding amongst employees would’ve made the experience so much more bearable. Trying to go out in public to begin with was a hellish experience for my mother without having anxiety flare up, but that woman definitely did not help (but to the woman with the long red hair, you are really sweet and i appreciate you very much) (November 6/‘20 ~4:00pm)

Normally I come here and buy lots of stuff and do my hair on my own. I had a question about a product I've never used and the lady said it was a bleach and a color in one. So I bought it. Turned my hair dark orange. No lift at all. No color. Waste of my money .

I maybe put too much trust in their quality, I bought the bioterra shampoo and conditioner which cost about 35 for both to find out its wrecked my hair and caused breakage because of the DMDM ingredient.
