I rented a second floor unit from September 2019 to September 2020.Pros:- Unit was very nice and modern.- Pets are allowed.- The rooftop patio is awesome, we enjoyed hosting friends and family there.- Great area. We explored nearby craft breweries, restaurants and had evening walks along False Creek.- Although the gym is small, it has everything you need and I was usually the only person in there, which I really appreciated.- BOSA took COVID-19 seriously and amenities were reopened at an appropriate time.Cons:- Building lacks a storage room.- Unit gets really warm in summertime.- Very noisy, this is alongside one of the busiest roads in Vancouver.- At least once a month our water would be shut off for hours at a time for repairs. I've never been in a place where this problem happens so frequently, this shouldn't happen so often for a new building.- Securing a spot in the bike room was a big hassle, requiring multiple emails and phone calls to management.- We had one instance of exterior windows being cleaned without management notifying us, which invaded our privacy.- Elevators are not optimized for the new COVID rules of 1 group per elevator. This often means waiting in the lobby for 5 minutes just to get to our unit one floor above. Stairs are not accessible going up.

1 month in living here, I have been very satisfied. This place is super convenient with transit, it has access to various restaurants and has a cozy neighbourhood for a lovely walk. The staff here are the most welcoming I have never seen, and they try to solve any issues as quickly as possible. The apartment's noise cancellation is pretty good. The only concern I have is that it's a bit dusty.

Easy 5 stars.I just moved into 180 Switchmen building and I am loving it so far. I have rented previously in Vancouver and other cities and nothing has compared to the team here. They are so quick to respond and act when something comes up.Furthermore, the location is excellent. I feel like I'm in Olympic Village and I have all the amenities there, but then I am also on Main Street beside all these incredible breweries. We are currently going through a heatwave here and the team put out a desk in our lobby with water to grab on your way out. It's the little touches that mean the most to tenants and keep tenants for years.

If you get the opportunity to live in a Bosa building you should take it. I have been in 180 Switchmen for over a year. It is quiet, friendly and the managers are extremely helpful. EXTREMELY HELPFUL!! Neighbours are friendly and there are a lot of friendly dogs. The maintenance team is on top of everything. I face to the west and my apartment is cool 95% of the time. In extreme heat you should always have an air conditioner anyways. The rooftop is a sanctuary and there is a little party room for if you have friends over. :) It is in the best spot as you are close to the different sky trains, restaurants, micro breweries, walking distance to chinatown and downtown. Perfect walk to Granville and the seawall is at your doorstep. Not to mention dragon boat festival!

My girlfriend and I had an overwhelmingly positive experience here. We moved in 2020 and stayed for a year before moving cities to pursue schooling. The location is fantastic, conveniently located between the two major subway systems to access the rest of the city. The very pretty seawall is walking distance. There are a wide variety of restaurants along main street, in yaletown, and in olympic village that are very close by.Management and staff were all great. The building manager was regularly available and kind, and the higher up administration team for lease signing was responsive. The few times we needed maintenance/repairs, they were done quickly. The buildings amenities (like the rooftop patio, shared common area, the free rentable umbrellas) were a fun bonus that we frequently used. Best of all, there was a genuine attempt to create a community atmosphere in the building (even during the COVID pandemic). The apartment itself was small but modern and attractive. There was ample closet space in the bedroom and a queen bed fit in comfortably. We had a lovely view of east van and the mountains. The appliances all worked well and having in-suite laundry and a dishwasher is a luxury for Vancouver. The only negative I can think of is that the rooms tend to get hot because of the large glass windows that only open a little. For the summer, this made a difference. Make sure to bring some fans or a portable AC and you'll be fine!I would wholeheartedly recommend this building to anyone interested and if I end up back in Vancouver, I am going to try to move back in.

My partner and I moved into 180 Switchmen back in 2019, some months prior to the pandemic so we got to enjoy the area before the lockdown. The building is located in False Creek with breweries within walking distance; Main St. shops up the road which were ~15-20 minute walk (not an issue for us). The Building Manager Lesley was awesome, communicative, and kind. Whenever we had an issue (which was rare) she was available to provide assistance. There's a small gym which has all the basics you need to get a good work out. We needed a bigger space (lived in a 1 bdrm) and wanted to move out of Downtown; and loved the way Lesley and the BOSA team managed the building we decided to move to another BOSA location in Coquitlam. Only downside was you could only use the stairs to go down (doors locked behind you); there was no option to go up the stairs to your floor. The building is pet-friendly which is a huge bonus! Overall we really enjoyed our stay :)

180 Switchmen street was my and my husband's first home after marriage and we love every moment we spend in this building. The building has a small gym and a nice rooftop patio and the best part is we got to join a garden club where we grew our harvest. The feeling over here is very positive. OH! The best part of the building is it's pet friendly!

Scale:A - Exceeded our expectationsB - Met our expectationsC - Met some of our expectationsD - Met none or very few of our expectationsProperty:- Entrance: A- Halls, elevators and stairwells: B- Grounds: B- Parking: B (most spaces are tight fitting)- Storage lockers: B (good size, fully caged)- Parcel locker (e.g. Amazon): A- Mailroom + Umbrella service: B- Roof top common patio + BBQ area: A- Roof top garden: (we do not use it but a number of tenants do)- Roof top lounge/event room: B - great view of the mountains, disappointing view of false creek- Bicycle room: (we do not use it but a number of tenants do)- Garbage & recycling room: C Reason: Paper and container bins start overflowing by Friday with pick up on Monday (avoid on Sunday) Blame the architects as they may have underestimated the number of bins required OR blame the tenants who may need to learn how to better flatten, stack or fold their recycling.- Laundamut (pet washing station): BBosa administration, Bosa onsite property management, and third party utilities & services:1. Bosa administration: Score A. Reason: Timeliness, professionalism, convenience (all digital documents), thorough. Few people enjoy signing a lease (except the lessor) but if you take your time and read through the documents and ask for clarification, you will not experience an unpleasant surprise.2. Bosa onsite property management:1. Onsite manager (aka Community Manager): Score: A (since June 2022, previously B). Reason: Kind, friendly & helpful, professional, responsive, timely, accessible. Feels like they are part of our community rather than just doing a job. Property management (other): Score A. Reason: grounds and common areas are well maintained. Maintenance team is responsive (via Building Stack app), timely, efficient, helpful (tips on how to avoid a clogged tub drain) and very pleasant.3. Third party utilities & services1. Space heating and hot water provided by False Creek Neighbourhood Energy Utility (NEU).2. Best internet service is LightSpeed.ca. Half the cost of almost everybody else with great tech and admin support. The point is, you have several choices of provider, not just the top 3.3. Parcel deliveries & services. There is a parcel locker on the main floor (love this!). Canada Post does deliver parcels to your unit door. Other couriers can be lazy and just stick a notice on the front door (without calling your unit) and drop your package off at a nearish collection site (UPS almost always does this from our experience; sometimes FedEx - FYI this is better than having it stolen). Otherwise your package may be left in the mail room right off of the entrance, and subject being stolen by someone entering behind you (this is life in the city).1. Quality of life and value for money:1. Neighbourhood: B Reason: This is a diverse neighbourhood on the border of downtown Vancouver and East Van. Everyday it is a mix of both of these. You can read reviews for this area elsewhere.2. Security: No matter where one lives downtown, there is always room for improvement with respect to security.1. Individual: B2. Building: B3. Convenience: A Reason: High number of services that will deliver to this location. For us, the location is convenient to get to work, exercise, walk/run on the Seawall, attend events while easily accessing several different neighbourhoods in Vancouver. Easy to get to the airport or seaplane port.4. Value for Money: B Reason: This is downtown Vancouver and the price reflects this. This is a rental building, not a private condo rented out. Bosa4Rent is a professional property management company. This provides us with stability, high likelihood that B4R will adhere to BC’s laws and pricing driven by market competitiveness and supply & demand. Part of the value I derive from this tenancy with B4R is less stress, a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, hassle free maintenance and convenience.

My wife and I had a pleasant experience living here. We loved our compact but modern apartment. It has everything you need for a comfortable living. We liked that it has a washer/dryer, rooftop amenities, biking storage, and underground parking. Also, it was great that you can quickly connect with a building manager using their app. It was pretty easy to use. The building is conveniently located close to parks, restaurants, grocery stores, and public transportation.Lesley is a building manager there. She’s a very kind and attentive person. She was always available to quickly resolve any issues we had.We want to say thank you to the Bosa For Rent team for making our stay unforgettable. I recommend the place to anyone.P.s. The only two things worth mentioning. 1st is that the place can get hot during the summer, so you need an AC. 2nd - It can get noisy when you open your windows because of the main street right in front of you.

We lived in this building in 2019 We really liked the homely owner and the support from the building managers, Now we are back in 2022 and we are happy just like our pets! Something we love is that managers always have treats for our puppies, my babies rally love them!! We are so happy always to come back home.
