Ed just does it right. Everything from oil changes to full rebuilds. The prices are excellent and the work is done as requested. If he finds anything that needs attention that is not on the work order, he calls and asks you if you want it done. The shop is very busy; so call ahead or be repaired to leave your vehicle there for a few days if you want do do a drop off.

Been going to Ed for two years after a bad experience with another “air-cooled shop”Always honest about necessary repairs, costs or wait times. When he says he’ll look into something for you, he always delivers. Can’t find a part? Ed’s probably got ten in the back! Plus he never minds the odd ring with dumb questions, which I’m sure he gets a lot. Thanks again for keeping Debby on the road Ed, you’re the best!

When I bought my beetle it had no motor.. everyone that I've met along the way of vintage beetle owners they ALL recommended Ed's Bug Shop. Ed is very friendly and when I visit he remembers you. There are a lot of people who drop by with their issues Ed doesn't hesitate to help them. He's not pretentious and his dogs are loveable.

I've been taking my van to Ed for years. I've tried other mechanics but I'll make the drive just to have him take care of it. Super honest, and really busy so make sure to call ahead. You might have to call a few times before getting someone on the phone but they're worth it especially if you have an old VW.

Best place in the lower mainland to get your older volkswagen worked on. Ed knows the beetles, older vans, and vanagons inside out. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Ed's prices are good, and his shop rate is fair.

Ed built me a new engine for my 1986 Vanagon, and sent it to me in the Okanagan Valley, where I installed it, myself. He was easy to deal with, and answered all of my questions. People who know what they're talking about when it comes to these old vehicles are hard to find. I highly recommend dealing with the Bug Shop. If I trust him with my van, I'd trust him with my baby.
