We have a busy office building in the downtown Toronto core, with lots of foot traffic and public exposure. The guards from Iron Horse have been professionals. We are very satisfied with their helpful and responsive nature.

The Interview was a typical; their Recruiter asked me a bunch of questions regarding my work experience, any security experience, my future goals and plans. Then, he explained the procedures of how to become a security guard, job opportunities and pay rates. All my questions were answered and I signed up for the the training quickly.

Do not waste your money just find another training company. The instructor is VERY off topic and leaves the class often. The company takes no responsibility for any mistakes made, when ask to speak to a manager at different times they are never “in” just stepped out or on vacation. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

Having worked for Iron Horse Security for over a decade I can honestly say they are an outstanding organization to be employed with. Starting with my employment as a uniformed security guard, moving into their mobile patrol and alarm response division, then to client services management, and ultimately onto managing operations I know first hand the effort management puts forth for both employees and customers. In a customer service-focused industry, which uniformed security guarding very much is, it is not always easy to keep every customer happy. However, through exhaustive training of staff and intensive management engagement, clients continue to support and provide exceptional references to the services they receive from the team at Iron Horse.

Hi Goden:Dylan Dewdney here, Director of Business Development.We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience--I assume only specifically with respect to our training program and management availability at the time.I'd like to address both your concerns:1) With respect to the training program:Our trainer, Hugo Schonhaar, has over twenty years experience in the industry and at this point has trained over 3,000 students with our organization. Part of Hugo's successful teaching style is enlivening topics of discussion and at appropriate points having a certain amount of levity--characteristics of teaching style that I certainly valued in some of my favorite teachers and mentors. That being said, however, we take your complaint seriously, and we will monitor and ensure that such levity and or digression is kept at a level that never demeans or diminishes the transmission of security lessons and training, which Hugo and ourselves take very, very seriously.2) With respect to management availability:It is very possible indeed that some or even all of the management team was away when you visited our offices.
