Martin was great to work with. Had a lot of ideas we implemented and are now enjoying! We love our cabin and it started with the design.

Thanks to Martin our holiday home/cabin came to life nicely. We were forced to make some changes due to landscaping challenges and Martin helped us plan a home that fit us, the landscape and our budget. He gave us ideas that helped us make sure we had things in all the right places! We love our design, friends and family love the design and Kudos to Martin for bringing it to life!

We have worked with Martin for many years and appreciate his diligence and creativity in designing amazing home plans for us and our clients. His plans are always top notch and combine both an excellent presentation with solid construction knowledge. An added bonus of MJP Design Studio are the rendering capabilities that can really bring blue prints to life.

We have had 3 homes designed by Martin at MjP Design Studio over the past 20 years. His drawings are artistic, extremely well thought out and well detailed. His creativity is second to none and we always find it amazing how he can combine our thoughts into a beautiful plan.We decided to downsize and build another home for ourselves, naturally our first call was to Martin. He was willing and able to design a new plan for us, however with the other drawings that he was currently working on he would not be able to start our home for 3-4 weeks.The excitement of a new build took over, with some hesitation we decided that we would find someone that could start sooner to design the next house. Several months later we had a design that we would build. The design that we eventually settled on is ok, but we found it hard to get exactly what we wanted.With the construction knowledge that needs to go into building a new home, Martin would go through all the other factors from various trades and suppliers like windows and doors, structural floors and engineering for example, this eliminates any confusion once construction begins.In hindsight, if we had to wait 4-6 or even 8 weeks for Martin, we would without question. His design process is thoughtful, easy and artistic. Our biggest regret was not waiting for Martin. Had we waited we would have saved time and money and had a design that we would love for years to come.We would strongly recommend Martin at MjPDebbie and Ron W

Martin was excellent to deal with on our custom build. He attention to details on how a vision can be built is second to none! He truly has a knack for the ability to turn a dream into a fully functioning and buildable dream home. We love it and our contractors had praise for the well thought out design.

Martin's level of experience, professionalism, & creativity became clearly evident during the design process of my cabin on Moyie Lake. His knowledge of the various trades, products, and associated costs was also helpful in keeping my project in line with budget. Martin was a pleasure to deal with & i would highly recommend him to anyone that is considering a custom build!

Martin was great to work with, his work is excellent very clean and easy to read I would recommend him to anyone he goes over the top. I also used him for estimating when he doesn't usually do that but jumped in and helped out and his numbers where right on . Our journey of building our dream home started about four years ago give or take. Our passion of looking through show homes took us to Artesia Heritage Pointe in Calgary where we met Martin at the show home located at 22 Whispering Springs Way. After speaking with him and understanding his hands-on easy process we knew we found our architect to put our dreams to reality.Fast forward to the time we were ready to start our build I found Martin’s business card. Excitedly I called and let him know we were ready to build. My heart literally sank as I learned he moved to BC. Nothing against BC but I didn’t think we would have the open line communication as if he was here boots on the ground in Calgary. Not the case, in fact Martin explained that he drew multiple house from Mexico and had no issues with communication or understanding a clients needs. We were in the middle of a pandemic and this way of communicating has proven time over time that we can work effectively and efficiently over zoom. I will not embellish but only after a number of zoom calls, Martin learned our personality and understood our vision and put pen to paper. I can’t say how many countless hours Martin may have spent on our drawings and renderings but he made the process effortless and we found this part of the build actually the most easiest! Not only is Martin knowledgeable and completely professional but solution driven. In our opinion got us out of a jam that could have impacted us financially for years.Martin, you will forever have a place in our hearts as well as our home!Your friends,Katherine & Marty
