Meraki Contracting

Meraki Contracting completed our 2450 sqft walkout bungalow custom home build in 2022. They walked us through the entire project outline and all the trades before we broke ground. We had frequent contact with Ian (one of the owners) during the entire construction. He was very responsive to general questions, and the various requests we made for changes during the build while explaining the impacts those changes may have on schedule and budget. It felt like a customer first relationship and our requests were not burdens. Timelines were clearly laid out for us on when to have decisions made by and any owner supplied items (specific plumbing and electrical fixtures, vanities, mirrors, etc.) on site as we selected a lot on our own.This was the first Meraki Contracting custom home build but it is obvious Ian and Dean have been building homes for a long time. They managed the trades well, handled problems that arose, and knew when to contact us for input. They completed some of the smaller, in-between trade work, as well as our interior stair railing. Their craftsmanship is excellent.We are very happy with the finished house and highly recommend Meraki Contracting as a home builder.

Ian and the team did an excellent job in our basement, transforming it from pure concrete to a beautiful, cozy space. We’re very pleased with the professionalism of the entire team. For the duration of the project, we didn’t need to worry about who was doing what in our home. They came and left as needed while we were away and out at work. They also kept us informed every step of the way, engaging us as needed to be sure we were pleased with the quality of the work and that it reflected the vision we had for our basement. We had Meraki Contracting complete our kitchen reno and were very happy with the finished work. They were very informative and helpful letting us know each step along the way as we had never completed a renovation like this before. Communication was always easy and the job was completed on time with no surprises.

We are thrilled with the finished product - beautiful and functional, just what we’d asked for.We had custom bookshelves that are stunning and some utility cupboards for the play/craft room. Both are fantastic additions to our home. We also had some additional insulation that has made a huge difference to the comfort, snugness, and better humidity level in our home.They were agreeable, professional, and easy to work with. Ian is knowledgable about different factors and good at advising along the design process.The workers were always people I was happy & comfortable to have in my home, and very good at what they do.

We were very pleased with Meraki contracting for our basement suite instalation. Their workmanship was great and their employees and trades people were very professional and accomodating. They worked hard to deliver under tight timelines and most importantly they always answerd the phone.

We used Meraki Contracting for an addition to our home and the final product turned out great. Both Ian and Dean are friendly, easy to deal with and clearly take pride in their work. Communication was fantastic and they always showed up when they said the would. There were also no hidden costs with the final bill. Can’t ask for much more. Meraki Contracting Inc. has completed two projects for us, insulating our basement and removing an old fireplace. For both, they've done an excellent job. Dean and Ian were easy to talk to about our current and future projects, giving us all of our options as well as their advice (without getting pushy about upselling). Their prices were entirely reasonable, and they were extremely quick in getting back to us and getting work started. All of their workers were professional, and left only the finished product at the end of the day, with minimal leftover mess.I would recommend Dean and Ian of Meraki Contracting for any renovations that you might be planning. I know we will have them back (hopefully soon!)

Meraki Contracting are very experienced, straight forward and hard working. They did our patio this summer and while they weren't the lowest quote, there were no hidden costs. They also worked through the insane heat wave this summer and had our project finished ahead of schedule. They were on site most days, and if there was a day when they weren't coming in, or when a subcontractor was coming, they always communicated those things to us so we could plan accordingly. They finished way faster than we thought possible, so that we were able to get a lot of use out of the new space this year already.Our yard looked awful, and we never used it. Now it's beautiful, low maintenance, and safe for our toddler. Can't recommend Meraki Contracting highly enough. We'll definitely be hiring them again for future house renos!

I contacted Meraki Contracting to complete my basement after a recommendation from a co-worker. I had a great experience working with them! As a first time homebuyer, I had no idea how to go about ensuring my basement was completed properly. Ian & Dean were very personable and knowledgeable. They guided me throughout the entire process of completing my basement. The finished product was very well done and it was all completed at a very reasonable cost. They were always prompt to respond and were very accommodating of my questions and needs. I would absolutely recommend Meraki Contracting for anyone with home contracting needs.
