Over 175 bird species can be found in the park each year. Frequented by dog walkers. Located next to King George Boulevard and BC Highway 99. Small gravel parkade. Looped trail, approximately 1 hour to walk. Flat gravel trail alongside Serpentine River. Short section of canopied flat dirt trail. Three watch towers.

Nice place for an easy walk. Free parking just by the bridge. Nice to take your dog for a walk. The dog owners don’t pick up their dog poop, or you see the dog poop in bags left on the trail. Quite gross. The gravel makes it a bit difficult to ride your bicycle, and trying to ride on the grass will get twigs in your wheels. There are mosquitoes due to some still waters, so maybe wear long clothing and apply bug repellent - because the bites are really bad, bad allergic reactions. Overall, nice walk, and really good scenic views.

Favourite place to walk the dogs in the summer, sometimes you will be lucky enough to see seals, fish, or herons in the river, even crabs on the beach side of the river’s cut bank. Not a birdwatcher myself but in the summer there is always a variety of interesting birds to be found. If it has rained lately, it will be extremely muddy and a towel for dog feet is necessary. In winter it is a great place for outdoor ice skating as the floodplain freezes over.

What a good time walking around especially in the evening around sunset time. So gorgeous indeed! Have look out towers, 3 of them so cool! A lot of people fishing and one caught a big fish, we all were so excited to see that, so cool! We had such a happy time so will definitely go back! And now, my husband knows where to go for fishing..hehehe..

It wasn’t as nice of a walk as some other places, weren’t a lot of trees.

The gate is closed on this trail. Please look for Serpentine Wildlife Management Area on Google maps and start your trail from there. There are many reviews for this location for a trail but the photos posted are for that trail and not this one. There is a way to go from here as well but the gate is currently closed. Please see the attached photo of the gate

What more to say other than beautiful trails for a relaxing walk or slow bicyle cruising. You can see the water the moutains and the sunset. Only downfall is its also on farmland which will have manure fertilizer smell. Otherwise its also a sanctuary for many birds. Eagles and hawks are frequently spotted on trees. Herons and smaller birds such as ducks are also plenty.

Beauty walk close to home. Didn't know you could fish here. I'll be coming back with my line! This time we strolled as a family on a sunny fall day!
