I was unable to claim my insurance even though staff was helpful and respectful

I wish I could give 0 rating to this insurance company which only demands money from international students. I called them to know the process and as per the guidance, I went for walk in but everywhere they demand money and say you can claim it. Please note that neither guard me nor any clinic guarantees you that it will be covered by insurance. This insurance is just for the sake of name and is useless. Such a fraud who don't care about your emergency.Also, some clinics mentioned that the reason for not directly doing with guard me because their refund process is too slow. No one trusts them.

If google has negative reviews I would opt for that. PLEASE DONT REPLY BY SAYING CALL ON THIS NUMBER FOR FURTHER DISCUSSIONS, I AM DROPPING THIS REVIEW AFTER DISCUSSION ON CALL.I opted Guard me insurance from college, I had back issues I went for the treatment. After graduation I opted same insurance under recently graduated, it allowed for 6months. After 3months I went for another treatment and mine 350$ got rejected due to words saying we cannot cover old /preexisting conditions. I opted for previous treatment, for back pain with Guard me insurance and then I opted new insurance from same company and they are declining it.So I don't know what’s going on, having the same insurance and same details still rejected the claim.NEVER NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND THIS INSURANCE TO ANYONE ,NEW GRADUATES BE AWARE ITS NOT WORTH TO OPT FOR IT!!!

They won't refund my gf after taking pics of a receipt. This is a scam. For profit and not helping.

It took me 1 year to get reimbursed for my physiotherapy. If you’re a international student avoid them and go elsewhere.

I've been being a campus ambassador for Guard.me for a year. It is such a great opportunity to work with an amazing team and help many international students across Canada. I love Guard.me!

As per the policy this company assures to to reimburse the claims within 5-7 business days. Every time I complete my documents and even go an extra mile to get the medical record from the doc to upload the same to make their life easy. But these guys never reimburse the claim within 10 business days and for that too one has to make calls and follow up to get you own money reimburse. Moreover today I had chat with Nicole Barbara one of the chat executive and she was sooooo rude. I wish I would have gone for another insurance company instead of guard me.

This is a horrible insurance company who does not care for his clients. As an international student I only arrived in Canada and fell ill 2days later. I was rushed to the emergency in St. John’s because I could not breathe and was dying, I spent 12days in the hospital and I am so thankful to the doctors who saved my life. Guard me has refused to pay all my medical bills. I am supposed to be recovering at home, but I am continuously in a panic mode since Monday 27 June 2022, cos I have been receiving emails from Guard me refusing to pay my bills and telling the doctors to collect the money from me. I am an international student who just arrived in Canada. I am in an incredibly stressful situation. Please if you are seeing this do not use Guard me. I highly stressed and panicking how am I supposed to recover when I see Guard me even refusing to pay for my medication. Is this an insurance company?My flatmates also have their own horrible experience, why are universities still using this company? Are they extorting us as international students?Please run away.if you have any advice for me, kindly reach out to me.

One of the worst services I ever had, I am an international student and I had applied for a refund but it was declined all of my friends got the refund and I talked with the staff online and again resubmitted the claim but it's been more than 4 weeks, they haven't reviewed my claim, nor refund. I have also sent mail about the refund because being a student is really challenging but they neither have replied nor refunded.

I had series of test required to be conducted, I submitted a claim to guardme for almost a month now and I am yet to get a response from them. Every pharmacy I go to says I can claim online as guardme is not easily accessible. It's already hard enough being an international student, having to spend money meant for other needs is even more depressing as not everyone have that luxury.As it is, it can't even be guaranteed that your life is safe in case there are emergencies and you do not have enough funds to cater for them.Most pharmacies request drug cards, I can't even find anything related to such on the portal. I know what I've had to go through these past few months and I don't wish that on anyone.
