A beautiful spot! We were seated right away! The waitress was very kind and the service was good! We are on the patio which was very relaxing. We had the haddock and fries! It was good but nothing special for what we’ve experienced along the coast of Nova Scotia. The portion of fries were very small and they tasted over cooked or cooked within an air fryer. The fish was good - a different approach to the batter flavour which was nice if you like your batter flavoured! The fish tacos were a 2/5. A nice flavour but temperatures and balance of filling through it off. There were no condiments for food or coffee on the tables which was a dislike and did have to go in and ask for what we needed more of once. Not a big deal but did stand out! The view was beautiful and the location is stunning. We had higher expectations for the location and being a hot spot for travellers crossing the ferry but was not a bad experience by any means.

They were very busy, we got the last place to sit, we felt welcomed, warned us there might be a bit of a wait for food, it wasn't bad. 25min! ...I would say the average wait in a good restaurant. I don't think they have done anything better, great food, overall, great place. We will be back.

The service was good and also the food was good. My only complaint is; the size of the portion was on the smallish size... I had the Sheppards pie, which tasted great... it was just too small for a supper size meal

Harbour House Ales and Spirits
Sat on the deck over looking Pictou Harbor. Very friendly staff! Enjoyed their muscles as an appetizer. Loved their roasted pepper feta and tomato soup with the chicken pear and brie wrap. Split the wrap with my sister in law so also had half a lobster roll. We took our time and enjoyed a few drinks before taking a walk around the beautiful town of Pictou.

Pleasant atmosphere with food that is a little more on the homestyle side. I had the beef dip, and I can honestly say it was the best one I have ever had.

Fantastic experience here. Had the lobster dinner, raw oysters, and Oysters Rockefeller.Prices were good, service was great. Beer selection was good, with 4 craft beers available as well as the typical list of domestic and imports. Also enjoyed the house Moscato and a tiramisu.Oysters could had been opened with more care, there was more shell/debris in the oyster than we are accustomed to.
