Anchorage House & Cottages

I give the Anchorage House and Cottages 10 stars!!. I've stayed in the the cottages a few times and the house for the past few years.The setting is within walking distance to restaurants and the famous Shore Club. The rooms are clean and bright. The grounds are well kept and user friendly. The clean pool with lounge chairs is available for all guests. The house has a beautiful hot tub that we've enjoyed every evening. The new sauna is big and works wonders.The house is my favourite for sure. Many rooms for guests to gather or have quiet times. The downstairs room at the house was bonus for me after a knee replacement. The house has the most beautiful setting for a large gathering from a wedding to a reunion.I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful accommodations, the caring owners or the gorgeous settings of the Anchorage House and Cottages.

The house is well-appointed. It easily accommodated 17 ladies. Hot tub & sauna were nice. Plenty of room in the fridge & freezer for all our food & beverages. We are coming back next fall.

Best value accommodation we have had in Canada. Ran by a friendly couple. Cabin had everything we needed. Prices online could be advertised better.

This place is the best place to stay in Hubbards. The water views are amazing. It is so close to the Shore Club and two amazing beaches. The outdoor sauna and hot tub were so awesome. Owners take pride in their place and made sure we had a good time during our stay.

We have stayed here many many time over the years. So much so that we decided to have our wedding here last weekend. It was the best wedding ever. The most beautiful location, Kate and her staff are incredible. They made it so easy on us, easy on the band and caterer and everyone involved. They were nonstop helpful and did everything in their power to make it the most beautiful wedding and make it so that we could enjoy the day instead of frantically worrying about all the details. I can't recommend this place enough for a weekend away, a week or two trip with the family and even your wedding.

Absolutely love Anchorage House! The house itself is well maintained and very clean! The rooms are great almost every room has a full bathroom. The hot tub is awesome very easy to use and well maintained this is a great place to go with family or I have gone on a few girl’s weekends here. There is not enough good things to say about Kate and Lee they live very close by and if anything is needed they are there. You will love Anchorage house!!

Accommodations were great! We rented the house and some of the cottages for a family get together, and it was perfect for what we needed. Owners were very accommodating with all of our requests. Cottages were cozy and clean and full kitchen was great. The suites in the house were perfect for the families with small children and large downstairs was great for our gatherings for meals. Hot tub was a big hit for evenings. Overall I would recommend a stay here whether for a big gathering, or just a cottage for a weekend getaway! Thanks Kate and Lee!

We had our wedding at the Anchorage House in October. It was the perfect venue for our big day. Our Anchorage House hosts went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend a huge success. They accommodated every request and made all of our guests feel comfortable and welcomed. The big house and cabins were able to accommodate all our overnight guests. Perfect place for a group celebration or family reunion. The hot tub and sauna were highly enjoyed while the commercial kitchen made food prep a breeze. Lots of seating options throughout. The plentiful beds are comfortable and the four upstairs suites have their own bathrooms. A fine waterfront view to boot. Thanks very much for a great stay!

Our family of five--four adults and one child--couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. We occupied one of the larger cottages, which was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and spotlessly clean and nicely and tastefully furnished. The beds were comfortable. The child in our company was thrilled to use the pool on multiple occasions. Our gracious hosts offered information on local shops and restaurants and were readily available if we had any questions. The location is lovely. The gardens are well maintained and were in full bloom. Very conveniently located within an hour's drive of many points of interest, even the Annapolis Valley. Nearby grocery store and excellent restaurants. We hope to be back!
