I paid them to remove a bird from my chimney and install a cover to prevent any more birds coming in. They mucked around for ten minutes before announcing there was no bird.Fifteen minutes after they'd gone, the bird came out of its own accord.As for the cover: one month later, and I've had another bird come through the chimney, so either they didn't install one, or it's no use.Either way, I would have been better off not calling anyone to help, and putting the large amount of money they charged towards repairing the mess the second bird made.I'd avoid this company if you want the work to actually be done.

I had the misfortune to use Lums-Dun in July 2015. They stayed for no more than 5 mins and didn't even touch the chimney. They refused a refund.This company is run by complete con-men. They have been reported to Trading Standards and are currently under investigation.If you value your money, and your safety, do not use this company.Hopefully they will be put out of business soon.Peter, Stockbridge, Edinburgh.

These guys tried to rip me off about 18 years ago. Aggressive and threatening. They were going to slyly put a scrappy old cowl on my chimney, thinking I hadn't noticed, they tried to tell me it was new. Don't touch them!
