Sonny's Drive In
Sonys has been our favourite spot for our family for over 15 years now. I understand times have changed , prices has fluctuated, but yesterday was BEYOND a huge disappointment. We purchased 8 boxes of poutine for my family and when I saw the boxes I was in complete shock, the size of the box is literally half the size of what it used too, (bottle of water for reference) and now is using paper boxes which causes all the cheese and the paper of the box get stuck together and we had to scrape the paper off the cheese as well as the box got soggy/wet. We asked the employee if the box is smaller, and he said it’s the same size but deeper box. Which is definitely not true. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT WE LOVE SONYS, more of informing. We love the original portion size, and the original box it came in, maybe raise your price if needed, but the reduce box size and quality is sad.

You knew exactly how good the food was going to be and taste like the minute you walked in as per the great aroma ofthe steaks on a bun, the large beef patty burgers and cheeseburgers as well as the savory taste of their famous large onion rings aa well. I have lived in Brampton now since 1977 and have seen numerous take out food vendors come and go but trust me you will always get your large size servings that Sonny's is and continues to be for over all these years now. If you have never been or tried Sonny's ever before than all I want to know is what has taken you so long to try their great large size food servings and delicious menu of excellent food at still very affordable prices? Staff is courteous and always eager for your feedback on their food, service and quality of their famous food items. They even appreciate the time you take to remember how Brampton has changed from a small farmers town suburb of the city of Toromto to 1 of the largest cities for constant growth and constant redevelopment of this great city named Brampton, Ontario, Canada in several past and probably many more years to come in itsfuture years as well. Proud to call it my hometown but not my birth town.

Sonny's Drive In
We had the bacon burger, double banquet burger, jumbo hot dog, and fries and onion rings combo. It was fantastic! Big portions, so come hungry. Personally, don't forget to ask for salt because I like my fries saltier.

Sonny’s was a drive-in joint on the outskirts of town in 1965. A reliable burger place today as it ever was. When the classic cars roll up together it’s a great spot on earth to snap some photos.

Sonny's Drive In
A mistake was made on my passed order when I called the restaurant an employee told me I could pick up my missed order any time and it has only been a week. When we got there today to pick up some dinner and the missed item we mentioned what was missed and they remembered the exact order, after we paid the employee that I spoke to over the phone proceeded to raise his voice and was very rude. The food is good but unfortunately due to the way we were treated as long time customers we will no longer be going there.

I had the double burger and onion rings, so good! No need for fancy bun or presentation, just straight up flavour waves and great textures. My gf says the onion rings “SLAYED”, you get them crispy and huge portion.

I have been going to Sonny's since it opened,It was, at the time the best burger place in Brampton.But as I visited today, I am sorry to say, it is time for this place to close.It has absolutely lost all of the vigour the original owners had put into the business.The burger was there., the fries were so bad, even when I tried to feed the birds, they declined to eat them. Plus it was a small fortune, Harvey's smokes this joint for half the cost.The property must be worth 5 million at least.So sad.Lorne.
