Splash Swim & Cruise Ltd.

Came into the store on Saturday October 29, around 4pm looking for swimwear. The two salespeople didn’t even acknowledge us. Not a “Hello”, or “Can I help you find something?”. We were in there for at least 20 mins and they had ample opportunity to assist, but clearly they both couldn’t be bothered. There was about 4 other customers in the store so it wasn’t as if they were busy serving other people. One girl was tidying up the racks and the other just sat behind the counter. For anyone who has been in there before, you’ll know that there is tons of merchandise and it’s hard to find things so help is necessary. We left empty handed and they lost a sale. We will never go back here.

This used to be my go-to for swimsuits years ago, but now I find it's just a mess of random swimsuits in there and impossible to find what I need, even with staff helping. I have been swimming for years and have a pretty good idea what I am looking for: a sport/racing type suit like Speedo or similar, and I'd like to be able to find the style, colour, and pattern I like and then select it in my size. Usually if swimsuits are displayed this way I can pick something within 10-15 minutes. But instead, they've organized every suit in the store by size. So if you think you're a size 12, you have to sift through ALL the size 12's of everything in the store, including the Granny suits, with cups, without cups, skirted, not skirted, etc., to maybe find a Speedo somewhere in there suitable for workout swimming. If you find one and like it but it's a touch too big, you have to go sift through the entire mish-mash of size 10s to see if you can find the same one buried in the huge rack of size 10 granny suits. (No offense to actual grannies as I am getting to be granny age myself, but I am looking for a racing/sports type suit). I didn't find what I wanted because it was too hard to look through the racks of random stuff. The staff tried to help, but they don't know my taste in patterns and colours and weren't much use.I was also semi interested in more beachwear type suits but without any sort of display showcasing what styles were available, it was too hard to tell what all that stuff was hanging on the racks and I didn't have the energy to sift through it all, so I left without purchasing anything. I guess I will try the Bay or something where you can see what swimsuits they have and then select the one you want in your size, not the other way around.

I had a fantastic experience in this shop. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable trying on a wide variety of bathing suits. I never felt rushed or pressured. I would say it was the best experience I have ever had buying swim wear. Thumbs up for this wonderful place! :)

I had a TERRIBLE experience here. The staff were unhelpful and extremely rude to me. The swimwear was damaged from the store hangers. The heating was broken so it was freezing trying anything on. Shop elsewhere if you can. I won't be back.

Had 30 minutes to find a bathing suit. I hate bathing suit shopping since my body had changed...hence the procrastination. Told Vita (the loveliest bathing suit expert working there) my time frame, plan to get in shape, worries, etc. She started pulling out suits and with her assistance and direction found a lovely bathing suit in less than 20 mins. Vita was super friendly, very knowledgeable, kind and supportive. She made the whole experience pleasant and fun. Tons of suits to look through. Will definitely shop there again. Lots and lots of suits for both pool and beach (and many beautiful ones in plus sizes, which is a nice change from my usual experience in swim wear shops and departments) and, also, lots of selection and sizes in pool and beach foot wear. Women helping me were very helpful and knowledgeable. They pulled everything that both I and they thought would suit me. No pressure - just the opposite. Pleasant, low stress, experience. I felt sure of my purchase when I left. Will definitely return.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Drove 1.5 hours to buy a suit. Nobody else was in the store when I entered, and never having shopped there before, was very confused by the layout and the mess of swimsuits jammed into every rack. Sales lady didn’t even look up from behind the counter where she was opening boxes (presumably more suits to squish onto the racks.) After a few minutes, I had to go and ask what the layout was and why there was two sides to the store. After sifting through hundreds of suits I grabbed 6 to try on, then had to go ask her where the change room was. Tried on the suits alone in the basement (no sales lady, no service) but by #5 decided I didn’t want to reward this store for their lack of service. Put them all on the counter, said to the lady, “thanks for your HELP” and walked out the door, never to return.

A good friend told me to go to Splash and i was NOT disappointed!Great selection,good prices, lots of accessories and above all, incredibly personable staff!!! The whole experience was delightful!!!
