What a rip off! I ordered a large jerk chicken for $15.99 and a large ox tail for 20.99$. The serving would have probably filled a regular box. The chicken was dry and had no gravy, little rice and a whole lot a sadness at the money we paid for this. Should have ordered someplace else.Updating this review in response to the reply.I can recommend 100 better places than this for taste

Guys I eat here on a fairly regular basis because I like it. Over the past year or so I have noticed a change in the jerk pork. At least 50% of each piece of pork is fat and is not edible. Some fat is great but the majority of this fat has a consistency of pudding. If you’re serving your portions by weight, at least try and give people their moneys worth. $18.97 isn’t cheap for a large pork dinner without a drink. It’s bothered me for some time now and I’m not trying to disrespect your business. Like I said I eat there frequently and enjoy it. Just the fat is getting a little out of control.

So good, I came here twice in a week!Had the jerk chicken sandwich and festivals both times.The jerk had a nice mild heat and meat was nice and juicy. The festivals were so good! Crispy outer layer and so soft on the inside. Could eat their festivals for days!Service was quick and prompt too. And didn’t even have to wait long for the food. Staff were super professional as wellThey also have a pick up window drive thru if you call ahead, you can just drive right up and get your order.The interior definitely gives off the island vibes as well from the trees to the furniture!Great job overall!Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content

Got the jerk chicken sandwich. Which was served on coco buns which were very soft and light.. jerk chicken had earthy flavours and coleslaw was creamy.Only suggestion I can say maybe coleslaw should be shredded instead of finely chopped. so it crunchy as well.Good-Cheap-Fast

Nicey's Eatery is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Caribbean cuisine. Although currently only offering take-out, the experience was still exceptional.The food was absolutely fantastic, particularly the ox tail and the spicy beef patties. The ox tail was slow-cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful sauce that was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The rice and beans complimented the dish perfectly. The spicy beef patties were crispy on the outside and filled with a spicy and flavorful filling, as great appitizer to start off your meal.The service was top-notch, I believe it was the owner who was on hand to answer any questions I had and make sure I was having a great experience for my first visit. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, which made my take-out experience even better.I was also impressed with the attention to detail and overall quality of the food and service, even in a take-out format. It was clear that the owners take great pride in their establishment. I look forward to coming here more often, especially when dine-in reopens.

I. Love. Nicey's. I'm so happy they got the well-deserved fame from the viral video; they're a Scarborough staple and for good reason. Unlike other restaurants, they have kept their prices fair (13.55 after taxes for a very filling jerk pork meal), and their food continues to be delicious.I do wish I could get it a little spicier, but this won't stop me from going back over and over again.Do yourself a favour and get Nicey's over the McDonalds that shares the plaza; so much more filling and worth it for the $$$.

Not sure if the quality of the food has gone down since the viral video, but from what I've tasted it is definitely not worth braving a winter storm for. I got to try a small jerk chicken and a small ox tail and no flavours really jumped out at me, they also don't offer coleslaw with their dishes.I ordered online for pick up in which they told me it'll be ready in 35 mins, got there only to find out they haven't started preparing my food yet and had to wait another 30 mins.

Excellent portions and yes you can order white meat only for additional charges. Not as good as the food from prior location on Morcambe Gate Scarborough. Seems the method of preparation may have changed. Oxtail gravy ad rice and peas on point. Sometimes not enough gravy for all that rice. Fry dumplings great with meal as a side. Careful when ordering delivery as they sometimes send dark meat when you clearly ordered white meat. They always have to check to see if they have any white meat as if they have no idea what their clients desire. You must call ahead if you require white meat or you may have driven to the restaurant for nothing. I’ve been a customer for decades. The finally realized some like breast jerk chicken and they can earn more by serving it. Still would recommend to anyone as one of finest values.
