Excellent food and great service. The bot server was a big hit and even sang happy birthday, the owner and server are amazing! Make a reservation to ensure you get a seat! Try the crispy beef and any of the noodle dishes. We will be back for sure

I had visited this restaurant many years ago and I revisited it and it was even better!! They have new owners now and they are very nice! I tried the sour & hot soup, pot stickers, crispy beef and the pepper prawns, they are all very tasty! I highly recommend the pot stickers. Definitely worth returning!!

Mekong is one of the oldest Chinese Restaurants in Chinatown OTTAWA. The ownership has been changed recently. It reopens just couple days ago. It got renovated to a brand-new look inside. Simple but classy. Second floor can host private events for about 40 people. Menu is new. Dishes are very Chinese authentic tasted with Canadian friendly way. For some dishes like whole Peking duck you need to order one day in advance, which make senses for small restaurant like this. It’s everything new but same great taste.

Mekong never disappoints. Food is fantastic and enjoyed all the recommendations from the server. We have tried a number of items off the menu and have always been satisfied. Price is also very reasonable compared to other restaurants.

My friends and I had a really great time here. Foods are very nice, great seasoning. Employees are extremely friendly, they are always taking good care of us. The environment is pretty neat too. I would say this is a great restaurant to spend your family time, date time, and hang out with friends at. Oh, their seats are pretty comfy as well. Lol

Ambience great to start but ruined by a brightly lit robot server touring the room to deliver food playing music that clashed with the nice music playing in the restaurant. Loved the fried wontons I ordered. Didn't like the (apple?) sauce paired with my veggie spring rolls.

Excellent food fresh and very tasty . Owner is very friendly so is the waitress, she would recommend if you like to try some thing different. Love the robot

In an area with a huge selection of asian restaurants, many of which are the best in Ottawa, Mekong really manages to stand out. It’s fairly small inside with simple decor, but the food quality speaks for itself. The dim sum menu was great, but the real standout for me was the shrimp & eggplant in chili sauce dish — the flavour was INCREDIBLE. I’m going to be thinking about the delicious melt-in-your-mouth texture of that eggplant for ages. I’m already looking forward to when I can come back and have it again!

Excellent westernized Chinese food with free parking in the heart of Ottawa’s ChinatownVery decent food primarily catered towards westernized tastebuds. New ownership offers tasteful decor and very friendly service staff.There are 10+ free parking spots on the side of the restaurant, which is a huge bonus in downtown core.Would make an excellent venue for team building, parties and small wedding for those who love Chinese food!Recommend.
