This is an absolutely wonderful place! I came in for help on my resume and left with not only a stellar upgrade to it but also news of a job fair the very next day. Within a week after visiting Community Employment Services Fanshawe I had a job. Before this I had been struggling to find one for months. The people there are friendly and knowledgable and go above and beyond to help. Leanne Mayer especially is great. She even called me after my job orientation to ask how everything went. I highly recommend this service to anyone having trouble finding work.

I have been working with Fanshawe Community Employment Services for a couple months now, and could not be more pleased with my experience thus far. I approached the organization after becoming highly discouraged from months of job hunting to no avail, and right from my intake appointment, have felt very positive and optimistic in an otherwise difficult career search. My career counsellor, Leanne, has not only actively helped me find prospective placements, but has also imparted valuable advice and feedback that I feel have empowered me to navigate the rigors of job and career searching on my own in future. With this support, I have in fact found and been offered positions, and in each case, Leanne has made a point of answering my abrupt and urgent unscheduled calls — i.e. outside of our regular weekly appointments — to help me vet and evaluate these opportunities. Beyond this, she has been incredibly personable, and instilled me with the confidence necessary to be successful in my search. I truly feel that she is going over and above the immediate scope of her job; as though she is not just providing me with a counselling service, but also genuinely rooting for me to find work that reflects my skills and experience, and that will confer happiness in my professional life. This type of personability, coupled with the professional rapport I feel with her, are elements that I have not felt with any agency I contacted prior. Suffice to say, I give Fanshawe CES a glowing endorsement to anyone seeking an employment counselling organization in their own career search.

They provided me with a lot of valuable information about resumes, cover letters, and interviews. They also gave me links to many practical resources. I really appreciated the way my employment counselor Jessica supported me every step of the way in my journey to employment. She is amazing and I highly recommend her services! I had the pleasure of having Leanne Mayer as my employment councilor. Upon meeting her I was in search of a job in my field for quite some time and was not successful. I was interested in going back to school but wasn't sure if I would be eligible for the second career program. Leanne took her time to educate me with the resources that were available to me. Not only was she knowledgeable and informative but a genuine, caring individual that made me feel I can pursue an education/career again. Community Employment Services is a great place for people who are struggling to understand the job market and looking for good opportunities. The staff here is really helpful and knowledgeable and knows exactly how to guide people depending on what they want to do in their careers. I would specially like to mention Leanne Mayer who helped me with my career path. She is an excellent coach and goes an extra mile to help her clients. My overall experience has been marvellous as I came here as a job seeker and being new to the country, thought it would be really hard to get into my own field. But with Leanne's help, I working in my own field now.I highly recommend CES to everyone!
