I see that the email was changed and all the reviews from past students were lost. A student from 11 years ago completed the course got a certificate, but later found out that it was good as toilet paper. It seems the school is still a sham now and 11 years ago when it operated out of the MacKeinze Inn. The school, Northern School of Spa Therapies was closed down then by Revenue Canada, but has opened again over a year ago.I am not sure if in the new location as of April 2020, Joyce Middleton has hung all the outdated documentation. Also the documentation is dated 2008 and addressed to Northern School of Spa Therapies. If a business is registered with an institution it's a year renewal fee and a new letter/documentation yearly. There was a First Aid certificate hanging on the wall that was more that 10 years expired, which they are only good for 3 years.Don't get me wrong, I thought the school was a great idea. What school do you go to with a low tuition fee of $500 and get paid to perform your practicum? The students get paid 29% of the massage, so $15.95 for a 60 min massage. The student is not told that they have to pay taxes on what you earn, as it is an income.After you leave the school the instructor/owner bullies, verbally abuses and slanders you to clients and friends. The disclaimer a student sign will not hold up in court but Joyce reminds you to watch yourself and not do any massage or take clients from school for 3 months. Joyce won't take it to court as she would need to file out a Contract of Law, which then the school would be discovered it is a sham.This school left a sour taste in people's mouths 11 years ago and it seems to be going in the same direction this time under a different name.If you are thinking of becoming a student, please do your research of her documentation, references to different intuitions, doctors in the building and ensure Joyce Middleton is a registered teacher so you aren't wasting your time going to school to end up with nothing but headaches.You know the old saying If it's too good to be true

Had a massage with Jo, the massage was excellent. The tightness in my neck war relieved.Jo also does this metabolic dna testing that helps you understand what foods are good for your body based on your DNA...some of it was shocking what my body cannot handle, but i'm excited to see the results of the changes. Would highly recommend this business.
