Cottages & Golf Royal Laurentien

NOT worth the money and not a friendly place on top of it! We recently golfed at this golf course twice and thought the first time it might have been an off day and brushed it off but when it happened a second time, I wanted to provide some feedback. We were made to feel second class as we arrived, no one touched our club, no welcome, no greetings, no NOTHING, no interaction with us. Not even a smile, not a word and the second time we came we were a group of 6. And at over $200 for 2 players, there are better courses in the area that are in better shape and more welcoming than this course. I am sorry but we will not be back and we really like to encourage local businesses but this one does not have our vote.

Showed up on Friday to the “Innukshuk” chalet, to no water in the pool. No warning, no sorry nothing just took my money with a smile on their faces. Complained to front desk and they assured me we would figure something out upon check out. When I went to address it during check out I was promptly told nothing they could do, manager would reach out. I have emailed and called several times and I don’t even get a response. Not to mention they gave one of our tee times to a member, with absolutely no refund on the round. If I could give this place a zero I would, crazy how people that do business like this are still around.

We had a wonderful time. Excellent accomodations, impecable conditions of the golf course… Tough but fair. The greens can drive you nuts… challenging.. wow. Back to the facilities… Just awesome!!!! We will be back for sureI saw some comments making it seem to be an unfriendly place. We did not find the staff like that at all. We were well received and taken care of.It would be really nice to get some apparel with the resorts logo on it, as we would have for sure gotten some.An area of improvement is in their golf etiquete for reception of clubs/carts and overall preparation for your tee time. This is sorely lacking. You are not allowed to get your cart before 15 min prior to tee time…. Thus you get to carry your bag to the practice greens and range, not a short walk…. Not a kind thing for seniors, need to change that and be more accommodating…. Most resorts are

115$ to play on a Friday afternoon and it takes 5:20 to play 18 holes, waiting on every hole. The greens don't roll, grass is too long and too soft. Starter is not friendly and welcoming, doesn't allow us to get in our cart, only until 7 minutes before the tee time. Website shows an outdated course card. The distances are not accurate. Robbery in plain sight !!

Our group of eight paid for a fantastic golf package. We had two cottages two rounds of golf two amazing breakfast and we're treated like royalty from each of the staff. The course was wonderful the views amazing. We would not hesitate to go back to this course again. Highly highly recommended!

Was excited to have a cottage vibe on our trip to Quebec. The golf course and scenery were a great back drop and the beach/pool was nice, but our accommodation (1 bed cottage) was disappointing. We could not open any windows to enjoy the morning breeze and view. The bathroom needs an update (not a huge fan of my shower in the bedroom) and the fact that it was a plastic insert that was small and hard to move around in made it feel cheap. I was not expecting super high-end, but it felt really dated. For the price we were hoping for more.

We rented the Innukshuk chalet. DO NOT RESERVE. Pool is empty, cold water plunge is empty and the sauna is not hot at all. Also we are a family of 12, the hot water tank broke and almost caught on fire!!!!!! We had no hot water for 24 hours!!!!!!!!!! At this price this is Unnaceptable. When we tried to speak with the general manager she got defensive and basically was not apologetic at all. OH and also, the water was not drinkable due to a high amount of iron in it but no one told us (we only found out about this since the maintenance guy told us) DO NO STAY THERE!!!!

Nice course but for the price, the pace of play is ridiculously slow. Waited 10-15 minutes every hole. Ran out of daylight and never came close to getting 18 in, but would have been at least a 6hr round if we had. Group behind us were members and said its like this every weekend. Not sure what the Course Marshall's responsibilities are but its deinitely not to enforce pace of play?? Avoid if you can get on other courses in the area instead (there are many), especially on weekends.

We stayed at Royal Laurentian Golf Course and Chalets in July (19th - 23rd, 2022). First off, the 18 hole course was exceptional, great views, awesome fairways and fast greens in pristine condition. The Chalets are rustic in nature but offer one everything they need. This is our second visit to Royal Laurentian and we will definitely be back in 2023 for a third stay. Highly recommend!
