Loving the oxtail here, it actually falls off the bone when you go to take a bite. Really tender cooked, and great flavour and texture. One of my new favourite places to go for oxtail. It was a little expensive, but I understand that is city wide thing at this point. Top marks.

The food is fantastic. I absolutely love treating myself once a week to a super tasty and filling vegetarian lunch special. I crave the festival and plantain as well never disappointed. Great staff as well.

As a Caribbean person I trust this place with my wallet. The prices aren’t to die for but they’re not that bad. For real good and pretty authentic food this is where it’s at. You could say that I’m paying for all the flavour, portions aren’t that bad either. Very reasonable spot to eat

Excellent customer service and genuinely authentic Caribbean cuisine. The spices and the flavors stand out! If I were to choose a favorite from the menu, it would most likely be their curry goat!

Wow! I have had food twice from this premises, which is located inside the Sheppard Centre (@Yonge) food court. The staff are great and food is fantastic! The oxtail dinner & rice and peas (large) and ackee & salt fish and festival (medium), portion sizes were very generous. Both of the dishes set me back $45.99 w/taxes and it was worth every cent. I live in the Mississauga and will be stopping by this premises to get my fix of great Caribbean food when I am in the area. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Ordered for delivery through skip. Got myself the jerk chicken with rice & beans and coleslaw along with a spicy beef patty. Everything was delicious, chicken was tender and flavourful. Patty could've been spicier, unless I got the mild by mistake. For the price, portion was pretty good. I wish they had a smaller portion for a cheaper price. Will order again.

This place is very nice. The interior of the place is very clean and neat, and the staff is extremely friendly. I did not know the menu but the staff made very nice recommendations. I just LOVE that Jerk Chicken! and it was awesome!

If I could give it 50 starts I would. The food is absolutely amazing. By far the best place in all of YorkU and probably York entirely.The jerk chicken is closest I have ever had to the one in Jamaica. The chicken js flavoured up to the max. The juiciest and most tender chicken ever. The rice and peas are amazing and they pour some jerk oil onto it which makes it even better. The most authentic carribean food in probably the whole city.The lunch specials are 3 pieces of chicken with plenty of rice that they stuff into this medium container that they smash in because they are so generous with the portions. The prices are very good considering the quality and quantity compared to the places surrounding it. The service was super quick and friendly.Overall the best pick for food and by far carribean food in all of the York Area. Absolutely outstanding, highly recommend.

The Islands Caribbean Restaurant inside York U's student centre is the best of the best in the area for West Indian food. I just had heir new jerk chicken sandwich and it is AMAZING. Definitely give that a try. I've had almost everything else on the menu, and can vouch for this place with ease. Good job @TheIslandsYU!
