7 years living this nightmare hopefully one day will find justice and be reconised. Thank you for the outstanding service every time I try and deal with the matter you are a hero in our country

Repeated voice mails for 9 consecutive days left without reply. Whats the sense in having a public service if its not readily available?Do yourself a favour and find a lawyer or paralegal whom takes payments. These public defenders don't even care about you.

they are good but there has been a lot of cut backs due to doug Ford government but still offer quite a few services

I needed legal aid services in Burlington Ontario! I just want to say that that office is very clean, gorgeous and welcoming! They are very professional!

They have helped me with another problem but no help with my landlord.

I had a family law matter that needed representation. During this time all legal aid requirements were basically waived because of the pandemic* -I spoke to legal aid at least 12 times over a three week period. All different legal representatives, admin, legal aid lawyers.The first legal aid lawyer told me my legal matter doesnt qualify for a certificate, that I should come up with creative ways to get in touch with my son, and reaching out to child abduction agencies would benefit me.I wasn't satisfied with that so I called them back and spoke to someone else, they told me that I couldn't get a certificate because I wasn't experiencing domestic violence or homeless. I was experiencing domestic violence but I had no evidence to support my claim.Once I fled the abuse I started staying at a shelter and called them back, I spoke to a different legal worker and told them I am homeless and need legal representation. She told me that they were unable to give me a certificate because of budget cuts! She said I would have to fill out the Motion to Change papers on my own and represent myself!! I cried a lot that day.Everyone I spoke to at Legal Aid Ontario gave me different reasons as to why I couldn't get a certificate. Ridiculous. In the end I contacted The Ombudsman of Ontario, and Legal Aid's response was that they didn't deny me a certificate and they would need a response from the Respondent first.My experience with Legal Aid Ontario was poor, I am sharing personal information about my experience. It was very frustrating, and I felt that I was bounced around and completely swept under the rug.Thank you for reading.

I couldn't reach them an hours!When I reach them, I had to answer a bunch of personal questions and then they hanged up on me!I had to call again and started all over again: wait, answer the questions and all these continued 3 days!This is HORRIBLE !!! And this is supposed to be a help service from the Government!!! Shame!!!
