Best fish n chips I’ve ever had! What a surprise this was.

Tasty fast food and dessert served by friendly people.I've stopped here every year for the past 9 years while visiting Gros Morne and it's been consistently good. No complaints from me or my husband.If you're looking for finger foods and good grub, this is a good spot.

Passing by on the 430 looking for a pit stop just south of the parking lot for the Western Brooke Pond (around 6km away). Having an early lunch we wanted something taste and ordered :- Double decker whales back burger- Whales back burgerAnd- 2pc fish & chips(All were absolutely AMAZING)The burgers were so flavourful (get the works for the best combo) having union rings with the house sauce making it the perfect cherry ontop! If you love burgers (like myself) the double patty is great by itself, but if you want a burger with fries then go for the standard whales back burger as it has one less patty. This burger was cooked to perfection being one of the best I've had period, it doesn't fall apart while eating and keeps great shape even with the size and ingredients making it easy to eat compared to other places that make bigger burgers.11/10 on the burger scaleThe fish and chips here are cod fish and has the right amount of crunch without having to much batter, and cooked to perfection. Fries are sooooo taste being a good thickness and just perfect combo with the fish & chips. If you want ketchup or other condiments at the front island infront of the cash area.8/10 on the fish & chips scaleAll the staff are lovely and the owner is quite talkative to all customers, so don't be shy if you start a conversation. Amazing experience and definitely a stop I plan to make everytime I'm heading through this area.

The new owners are great. Very down too earth. GREAT burger and the home fries are cooked perfectly. It’s a must try if you are in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised by all aspects of my meal -- Hand-formed burger patties, bold and pleasing flavours in the sauces, nice crispy but not overdone fries... And a well-constructed double burger that is easy to eat with one hand. A rare thing! The staff was courteous and helpful, despite getting slammed with half a dozen big orders right after ours. Lovely spot!
