TruGreen Lawn Care

Our lawn has never looked worse and is full of weeds. Trugreen came one time for lawn treatment and yet charged me for 6. Their reasoning for not treating the lawn was because it’s been too hot. I will never use them again and would not recommend.

We paid up front several hundred dollars to have our front lawn serviced. We share a small front lawn with a neighbour. It was in bad shape. However, Trugreen came once sprinkled some seeds and we didnt hear from then again. I had to pull teeth" to even get to talk to somebody to and when I did

I was told that weeds will be gone completely otherwise you will get full refund, its a moneyback guarantee, i trusted that, took the package for 4 visits, now when the weed is still there they are telling me about the exceptions and its not a magic, it takes years to get rid of weeds, if i was told that thing before, i would've not taken the servuce beforehand. I feel like being cheated. I expect a refund as per the offer i was given, but now they have all the reasons of not giving refund. I have attached pictures for reference. And these are just half of the original scenario.

We are very happy with their service and the positive impact it has had on our properties appearance and overall curb appeal. Good value for the cost. I would recommend this service to others.

If it was your location who’s driver was tailgating down highway 6 in Caledonia today going 110Km/h in an 80, you should probably not allow them to drive your company vehicle.Seems like a huge liability and looks really bad on your company.He nearly drove me off the road then honked and gave me the finger for slowing to make a left hand turn.Seems like he has small you know what syndrome.

This company is horrid we have been “trying” to communicate with them for months now. We should of seen the red flags when they didn’t show up the first time for almost 2 weeks! They send us around in circles, we’ve asked for a managers come to the house, hell even a phone call and nothing. They are just playing a big game. The pictures are what they have done to our grass and what it used to look like only a month before we started to use them. Honestly I wanted to help my husband remove the dandelions so we didn’t have to pick them up but they killed my beautiful putting green grass. I used to walk barefoot on it now it’s crispy and burnt. This is extremely disappointing DO NOT use this company.

UPDATED June 7 2023. Called for a quote and received a good one if I accepted it same day. Person said they’d email it immediately. Didn’t receive it. Hours later called back and another said the quote was a mistake and the new quote would be on its way. They wouldn’t share what the quote price was and guess what? The quote never arrived. The company kept calling and we spoke with Steve who said they would uphold the quote. Scott Thompson the general manager approved it and sent it to us. We paid. The technician showed up and said they made a mistake on the size and we’d get a call from sales. Didn’t so I called the next day and they cancelled the service and will take over 7 days to refund. Why? They said because of their mistake they no longer want the contact again.

I like the auto calls from Trudy" a day or so before the application so that I can be sure that the back gate is open.I like the work that they do for application to my lawn.There is always a few weeds - especially near the sidewalk or edge of driveway that seem hardest to control.Thanks for your work."

We have been getting our lawn serviced for years and it always looks great. Weed control, aeration, and overseeding. Our last house when we first moved in, there were more dandelions than there was grass. After 1-3 years, the lawn was beautiful and thick and had nearly no dandelions - it was just general maintenance after that (pulling the occasional weed). I even had several neighbours ask how I got my lawn looking so nice. They are good about coming out for additional applications if you call them, though sometimes it takes around a week or so for them to make it out. They are also good about calling a day ahead to let us know they’re coming.This year we started with their mosquito defense fogging. It’s expensive but it does work really well and right away. We were able to enjoy our backyard again.Their technicians are typically very friendly and knowledgeable. They are willing to answer any questions you have. I did have an issue with one technician a few years ago that wasn’t doing a great job. I called them to complain and from then on they always sent a different technician to service my property. No issues after that.As some other people have said, they will often try to sell you their other services (grub control, tree and shrub spraying, etc.), but it’s not harassing. Maybe just 1-3 phone calls per year and there is usually an ad placed in the envelope with the service receipt they leave for you. No big deal though.
