We are about 5000km into our Western USA van tour, and we just LOVE OUR VAN SO MUCH!! She is a beastly babe, so we have named her Brienne of Fart (we are GOT fans and also have a 5 year old with us so..). We bought our van from Rolf at Canadian Camper Vans and we are so happy with that decision. Yes, she is has a few years on her and quite a few miles, but she has been obviously well looked after and runs like a solid old dream. Rolf went the extra mile for us after purchase, sorting out an after purchase tune-up for us and I really appreciated his no-nonsense approach and dry humour. He is a dude and I'm sorry I didn't write this review sooner, but we have been having way too much fun in our van having awesome adventures. THANKS ROLF!!

My husband and I booked a campervan with Canadian Campervans for our honeymoon. I was wary to begin with, as they refused to take payment by credit card as suggested on their website, and instead wanted me to pay via PayPal. I was also a bit suspicious as they were emailing me at times that would be very odd if they are based in Canada. The PayPal they sent me was for an individual, rather than a business. Despite this, I went ahead and made the booking using PayPal via my credit card. A few days later they contacted me to let me know that PayPal had put a hold on the payment and so they would not honour my booking. When I checked on PayPal it became clear that PayPal were also suspicious and so they were holding payment until I confirmed receipt of goods ie. the start of the rental period. Canadian Campervans then insisted I make payment by BACS transfer to complete by reservation. I did not feel comfortable doing this, so contacted them to let them know. They then said they would not honour my booking, and I needed to contact PayPal to request a refund. PayPal confirmed that this is not the process. If the business wanted to give me a refund then they must issue it. Following this, I had no choice but to make a claim against them via PayPal's claims process. This was escalated to speed it up, but still meant that I did not receive the refund until a week into our honeymoon. Luckily we were in a position to book an alteernative vehicle, since we had other savings (the refund was over £2000!), but some people would have been left without money to book their holiday transport, which would have ruined our honeymoon! We were not able to book another campervan at such short notice so we instead hired a truck and brought our own tent. This was an incredibly stressful last minute change of plan. Once we arrived in Vancouver we travelled to the offices listed on Google maps to find a deserted space (mid afternoon Monday) with some very old vehicles with other company names on them. I do not beelieve this is a legitimate hire company, and I would urge people not to do business with them. They very nearly ruined our honeymoon, and certainly tainted the sense of looking forward to it. Luckily campsites in Canada are brilliant, and we had a fab time anyway, despite this company.

Wir haben für unser halbjährige Reise quer durch Kanada unseren Van bei Canadiancampervans gekauft. Der Preis war angemessen und es wurde nichts versucht bei dem Fahrzeug lange schön zu reden. Kleine Reparaturer wurden noch vor dem Verkauf, vom Verkäufer, durchgeführt. Auch bei der Anmeldung und der Versicherung wurde uns kompetent und freundlich geholfen.Alle waren stets nett und hilfsbereit.Würde meinen Van dort sofort wieder kaufen.

Ich rate jedem dringend davon ab ein Fahrzeug bei dieser Firma zu mieten!! Die Fahrzeuge sind in einem schlechten Zustand und der Vermieter zockt euch ab.KundenfreundlichkeitFür diese Firma ein Fremdwort. Unser 1. Fahrzeug war miserabel (siehe unten) und wir mussten es abgeben weil es hereingeregnet hat und es durch den Wasserschaden extrem stank darin. Beim Fahrzeugwechsel wurde eine Rückerstattung mit dem Vermieter ausgehandelt, dies wurde auch schriftlich festgehalten. Zwei Tage vor Fahrzeugabgabe wurde die Rückerstattung vom Vermieter einfach halbiert. Die Begründung war, dass man in sonst abzocken würde.KontaktDie E-Mails werden rasch und kompetent beantwortet.FahrzeugübernahmeDie Firma ist mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nicht zu erreichen. Es werden auf dem Übernahmeprotokoll noch diverse Strassen gesperrt. Eure Routenplanung ist damit komplett zu nichte gemacht. Obwohl 100 Canadische Dollar Preparation-Fee verlangt wurde, war ein Rad in desolatem Zustand. Nach 60 Min warten konnten wir losfahren. Wir erhielten für die Wartezeit weder einen Kaffe, extra Meilen oder eine Entschuldigung.FahrzeugEs sind vorwiegend alte Fahrzeuge Jahrgang 2000 - 2003. Dementsprechend fehlt teilweise Zentralverriegelung, Klimaanlage, verstellbare Sitze etc. Der Innenausbau ist ebenfalls aus diesem Jahr und hat dementsprechende Gebrauchsspuren respektive Schäden. Unser 1. Fahrzeug hatte einen Wasserschaden. Dieser war bereits älter, wurde jedoch nie repariert. Bei uns waren alle Pneus 9 Jahre oder älter. Automobilclubs empfehlen maximal 6 Jahre. Kontrolleuchten im Fahrzeug werden kurzerhand überklebt.VersicherungDie Versicherung deckt weder Steinschläge in der Frontscheibe noch defekte Pneus. Steinschläge werden mit 60 Canadischen Dollar respektive 450.- für die Scheibe verrechnet. Weiter bleibt ein Selbstbehalt von 500.-. Meiner Meinung nach schützt diese Versicherung nicht für die wichtigsten Sachen.

We rented a truckcamper in high season 2017. The big power cummings turbo diesel made the up hill trips verry easy. Lots of room inside the camper unit. Our 4500miles trip around vancouver island and the rockies went flawless with this truckcamper. Ralf even came back to the office on sunday cause our flight delayed. They take the time to explain everything just fine! The vans are not new but this made us look like locals!! Thumbs up for canadian campervans

Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit Leute. Die haben viel Zeit für uns genommen, um uns zu zeigen wie das Auto fährt. Rückgabe war problemlos. Danke viel mal!

In der Hochsaison eine gute Alternative zu Cruisecanada oder Canadream, da günstiger. Jedoch auch auf Kosten der Grösse, modernität der Ausstattung, fahrverhalten der Fahrzeuge etc (220'000Km auf unserem Dodge). Auf unserem Trip hat es 1x geregnet, da war das Fahrzeug nicht dicht. Weiter war der Wassertank am Anfang nicht aufgefüllt, ob wohl steht, man muss diesen voll zurück geben. Daneben muss das Propan voll, das Fahrzeug gewaschen aussen, geputzt innen, das Motoren- und Getriebeöl nachgefüllt sein etc. Also sehr aufwendig, in einer Stadt, die nicht auf Camping ausgerichtet ist. Die Lage in Richmond ist toll, wenn man mit dem Flieger ankommt, aber doof, wenn man den Van wieder abgibt. Die Kilometer sind stark begrenzt bei der Standardmiete. Danach wirds mit 50 Cent/KM schnell teuer!Vermieter waren aber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

What a great company. The company is only 20 min from the Vancouver airport and Vancouver downtown. The van was top equipped and very comfortable. The van had a great floor plan and a comfortabel double bed in the back with lots of storage and a kitchen cabinet. The fresh watertank holds 75 lt and the van was build with a 100 lt holding tank, just like larger motorhomes.The owner was very helpful and friendly. I would rent a van again anytime !!
