Came here for date night. Had the shrimp, steak dinner, Tuna tartar and chicken wings. As far as food goes its typical franchise food but the service is always one of the best around. I find the guelph location much busier and livelier than the cambridge location. Also they have great daily specials and happy hour!

Excellent atmosphere. Nicely decorated, and well laid out. The service was very good. The food was delicious. My only compliant would be that the mashed potatoes were not made with real potatoes, and lacked flavour.

Great local alternative to Kelsey’s/Montanas if you’re in town and looking for something for everyone - in fact, I thought it was better! Was very happy with their selection of vegetarian eats (not the typical cauli wings or spinach dip that i expect with this cuisine) - ordered the baja brussel sprouts, spanakopa flatbread and sweet potato fries. The brussel sprouts could’ve been slightly more flavourful after the first bite (maybe if they were cut in half), but otherwise everything was delicious. The fish tacos were a hit as well. Happy hour deals from 2-5pm were plenty and the staff was v friendly in guiding us through it. This place has a lovely cozy feel to it and was a perfect place to eat during a rainy day. Would return!

Last night was the second time I dined at State & Main, and again it did not disappoint. Our server, Nikki, was excellent. She was friendly, prompt, and attentive, and made the dining experience overall enjoyable. I had the fish tacos, which were delicious and quality, and when Nikki noticed I was running low on the dill sauce side she asked if I wanted more (of course I did, it's incredible!). State & Main certainly will be a new regular spot for lunch and dinner, and if Nikki is working I will be requesting a table in her section. If quality, consistency, and top notch customer service are important to you, then this is the restaurant for you. I will be back!

This was my first time dining at S&M and I think I found my new go to! Even though it was busy, the service was super fast and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The food was delicious and our server Eva gave us options that we didn’t know we could do to our meals. The atmosphere is also amazing!

Just had a dinner at State and Main with my husband after a long day out at a golf tournament. Our server Clarie was simply amazing and was so personable and provided excellent service. We were able to relax and truly felt taken care of. There was even a point where our steak was overcooked and they immediately fixed the situation even before it came to us. They even provided dessert on the house for the mistake (which again, we didn't even know about). We were also pleasantly surprised to find out that Thursdays were 1/2 priced wine night! We will definitely be coming back and recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a lovely evening out!

Don't forget about Happy Hour! We missed it but that's ok. We still had a good time, it was a quieter evening which allowed us to talk a little easier.Our dinner arrived in a good amount of time. The server and other members of the staff were polite. The restaurant was clean and organized, with nothing out of place. The spinach dip seemed very watery and I could tell it really wasn't homemade, so it was the only food item I could be picky about.There were no significant issues, so I would return soon. Thanks again.

My first visit to a State & Main anywhere. Overall, food is good and portions are good. Few extra chips would've been nice for the spinach and Artichoke dip as we had plenty of dips left and only a small handful of chips for 4 ppl.My beef Dip was plentiful, and the dill dip French fries are actually very nice. Wife had the fish Taco meal and stated very nice tasting.My only one comment, is that the menu is small. Let's clarify something here... small menu is perfectly fine but I expect a slightly higher quality level with this sort of experience. I'm sure a vast majority was frozen foods deep fried etc. For example, Cactus Club in Edmonton, similar prices and size of menu, but everything is hand made and superior quality.Overall I would return to a State & Main for big box" expectations style meal."

My best friend and I went for dinner and some drinks last night, and it was by far the best time ive had there. The food was delicious. Our server Abby was amazing, super attentive and super sweet! 10/10 would recommend. Abby made our experience one of the best!

Mixture of different types of foods, pastas, pizzas burgers, fish & chips etc.Not a lot of vegetarian options, but upon asking, they were able to turn one into a veggie option. I wish more restaurants would clearly state this is an option and for which dishes rather than omit it.
