Osteopathy by Carla

I have worked with Carla for more than 10 years, both as a trainer and Osteopath. Carla is extremely professional and knowledgeable but also fun and relatable. I have been to many physiotherapists who have used cookie cutter treatments and exercises but Carla really listens, assesses and treats me individually and works with my challenges and my life. Carla has been able to help support me and ease my pain and challenges when no one else could. Thank you Carla!

I lead a very active lifestyle where my main sports are mountain biking, golfing and alpine ski racing. I’ve been ski racing for more than 40 years, and I still do today. I also work out regularly, and most of my sports are at a competitive level. Having been an athlete for the better part of my teenage and adult life, I’ve grown a custom to being in pain most of the time, but the pain I was experiencing was beyond typical. I suffered from chronic back pain as well as hip pain and extremely limited range of motion.I tried physiotherapy  for several years to no avail, as well as other different approaches. Surgeons told me I needed a hip replacement, but I was too young, so I had to find another avenue.My sister suggested that I should try an osteopath, so I did. I started working with Carla, and by the second visit, she had reduced my back pain significantly.She also improved my range of motion in my hips so I could get back to the level of proficiency in my golf swing and my ski racing that I once had.Carla is very thorough in her assessments and not afraid to try different techniques to get better results with every session. Coming from a sports background herself, she understands and has first-hand knowledge of injuries and pain associated with it.  Before I started working with her, I contemplated quitting the sports that I loved because of how bad the pain was. She gave me a new lease on life to be able to practice the sports that I love.My daughter, who is also an Alpine ski racer with one rebuild knee (ACL, MCL, LCL all torn) and the other fractured knee, also works with Carla.

Carla has treated my neck, shoulder, back and rib pain for several months now; not only has she provided me with physical relief, but she has also provided me with education on how to manage my symptoms and take care of my body. Furthermore, Carla is extremely professional, knowledgeable and kind. She is also very thorough in her assessments and treatments, and she genuinely takes the time to listen to my concerns and address them. Thank you Carla! :)

Carla is extraordinary. Professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic. I went to see her about a number of issues, and they were resolved in a couple of sessions. Since then, my husband and one of our sons went to see Carla, too, and she helped them both immensely. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a local Osteopath to treat my neck pain. Truly grateful for meeting Carla!! She is a very professional and knowledgeable Osteopath-great at quickly finding the issue and offered great tips on stretching. I have not had any repeat issues since. I sent my husband to Carla for his shoulder injury from hockey- he is happy to be back playing with no issues! Carla is also a very friendly and lovely person treating my 4 year old daughter with constipation issues. Amazing results with Carla’s manual therapy. I would recommend her to anyone!! Carla is very experienced. I came with a number of chronic issues of old scar tissues, imbalances, restricted movement and pain. She was able to assess them and treat them methodically. Proof is in the pudding. My pain and imbalances are better now and restrictions, impingement and pain in various parts of the body has improved significantly. I intend to continue working with Carla for further improvement. I also intend to work with her on my exercise routine as she's also a physical trainer. As a former athlete and active person, she understands movement patterns very well.
