An amazing park and a great experience. Not very many people go here so it's kind of like one of those hidden gems to go to if you just want to relax or have a fun family outing. The only reason I didn't give the park 5 stars is because it's not very well maintained but thats the city's fault. In conclusion I would 100% recommend you go here as it was quite an amazing experience!

Great little park with a nice little beach and a great view of the sleeping giant. Clean bathrooms and a small amusement park. Bumper cars and a merry go round.Good spot for a picnic.

This campground is in a beautiful location along lake Superior. There are pull through and back in RV sites. The sani dump is convenient to use. We were there on opening weekend and the public washrooms and shower houses were filthy from sitting all winter. The coin laundry is $2.50 for washers and driers.

While the roads to get here are a little bit rough because thunder Bay hasn't fixed them, this place is a hidden jewel. Very well maintained campground with adjacent fields for events, playground, and two separate beaches. It has a lot of picnic area. For those people who are tent camping or trailer camping, this is an excellent area. It's well mowed and kept up, the bathrooms are in excellent condition, and they have free hot showers with excellent shower facilities. They have washers and dryers, three of each, that go off of $2.50 Canadian for a run each. There are a lot of mosquitoes right now, but that seems to be everywhere. For those people who have traveled more internationally, you will appreciate the shared kitchen commons. There are two stoves and two microwaves and two sinks running hot and cold water. There is plenty of places to prep meals and eat them at sturdy bench tables inside. It's well lit overall. I can't say enough about this place it is truly excellent. From both of the beaches there is an excellent view of the sleeping giant across part of Lake Superior

Beautiful spot to go for a walk or bring your kids to the park.I love seeing the fishing boats and kayaks out on the water as I get some steps in. There are also swimming areas available for the scorcher summer days.If you packed up your kids and some snacks, you could spend an entire afternoon out at Chippewa Park.Excellent walking paths along the water. I'll be going back on the days that I am looking for an easy hiking day with no hills and even ground.

Great location as mentioned in other post fairly buggy in the spring as to be expected. Minutes away from downtown. We had site 32 and a wonderful view of the bay. Staff were very helpful.

Chippewa Park, located at Fort William First Nation's, offers campgrounds, Cabins, fields, beaches and forest trails. Nightly, weekly, monthly rental availability. You can also find day use sites to bring the family out for dinner nestled on the shores of Lake Superior. A children's playground is also on site. Chippewa is a favorite spot for me.

Beautiful and peaceful place to camp. Awesome view of the Sleeping Giant. Off leash dog park next to the campsite with water, trees, grass and lots of room to run. Still close to the city for everything you may need.

The bathrooms where disgusting and the road is extremely dangerous and the potholes are big enough to swallow a small car. I will never go back it's not worth beating my vehicles down there.
